Kontras
Upper management has outrageously unrealistic expectations i.e. a 15 minute response time on all emails, missed calls, missed chats, etc. You know the auto responses you receive from just about every company you email stating a 24-48 hour response time? Well that is completely out the window here. They refuse to change this expectation based on volume or when employees continue to quit and the department is short staffed. They are unable to provide the training and support you need to learn but continuously find the time to micromanage ridiculously petty things and watch your every move on the surveillance cameras they have in every room. For sales you are forced to beat ice cold leads to death. To the point customers feel harassed and block your number. The ones that do pick up you are required to sell them whatever they can afford which goes over really well when the part inevitably fails. Then you have the joy of dealing with their warranty return which is always denied because of the unethical leadership. Your customers end up despising you more than a telemarketer. Most of the employees that came before have quit. The turnover rate is easily in the 60-70% range. Looking at the current company photo only 5 out of the 18 are still listed as employed with this company. 3 of those 5 are management. Everyone else is new and doesn’t have a clue. They are not willing to promote from within. The nepotism is strong here! Example: all managers are high school pals with the owner. They haven’t grown up one bit! The operations/HR manager lives in one of the owners houses so he does all his bidding for him. You do not have someone in HR you can confide in. They will gossip about you like a high school clique. If you enjoy being cussed out by customers that are pissed off because you sold them poor quality parts you will excel in this environment. Or if you love being micromanaged, watched on video surveillance and expected to train yourself this is the job for you. If you have an ounce of self respect, keep on looking!
