Kept people who took a lot of time off/sick often. Still small company, You wore too many hats and too many responsibilities., not enough hours in the day. Promoted people who should not have been promoted.

Positive work environment, well lit, clean, lots of documentation, and good HR management. Good project managers. Developers and engineers have lunch together regularly.

Seems like the outlook overall is only certain in the short term. Hiring slowed when it was predicted to be picked up.
