Pros

Slick city location, you might often get some freebies from events (champagne/canapes/expensive trips to Cannes or to watch sports etc) since the fee earners seem to need to spend £££ thousands dazzling their clients (and themselves).

Kontras

No flexibility, terrible work life balance, pedantically formal, stuffy and old fashioned, CEO is rude, salaries in marketing aren't great and below market-average, lots of unnecessary admin - you may have signed up for marketing but may spend most the time processing invoices. Feudal hierarchical like culture. Fee earners are generally pompous, arrogant gits who think a lot of themselves and think they are above everyone else. Many are allowed to get away with anything they want because they are "Gateley royalty" and anyone in the Support section are just the peasants working beneath them.

Thank you for your feedback. It’s great to read you enjoyed some of the benefits Gateley has to offer. Employee wellbeing is important to us and in line with our responsible business ethos, we encourage work life balance, however, we can appreciate there may be occasions where there may be a requirement to work additional hours and would always encourage employees to speak to their manager should there be any concerns.
