Pros

The training is very in depth to help you with selling as that's the end goal, POS training should be added however as there are thousands of SKU's which makes new starters very nervous. Offices and tea rooms are great, not many businesses offer spacious area's like these. You don't feel micromanaged The incentives can be incredible, but depending on your peer set (store grading) it can be very hard to hit and this is reflected in the reports that come through.

You are measured on what money you can make, not on how you perform at work. So if you choose to ignore post service tasks, cleaning, phones, emails ect, , you'll still be prioritized in the business, but it leads to terrible culture in stores as the team aren't acting like a team. The goal posts keep moving, making it harder and harder to hit targets and staff that don't hit targets are managed out. Job security isn't present. Most stores are heavily understaffed and management work 10+ days in a row. There is currently a revolving door with management because they're unhappy. Claims are a nightmare and can take days to fix, and stores are responsible for talking with the very upset customers who don't understand why it takes so long to resolve. The systems don't speak with each other and you're constantly having to flick through multiple programs to get one answer. Uncertainty of the businesses future, working in furniture can be volatile and you never truly know if the business is successful, especially when flash sales are constantly happening to help rev up sales.
