Company is very employee friendly. We have a monthly town-hall meeting and many extra company-sponsored activities, outings, and charity involvement. Management is approachable. The president knows all 200 of us by name. Compensation is good -- high standard salary levels and generous bonuses and stock option program. Insurance, vacation and holidays are standard. Very flexible about personal time off. People work hard but typically didn't have to do weekends

The only downside is the basic economic reality of being a new, smaller company in the pharmaceutical industry. the odds of a successful drug development program are low for all enterprises. Keep that in mind as opposed to a large, established behemoth pharma company with many commercial products

I love the sense of community here. We all know each other, and make efforts to know those who we have not yet met. We have social events, and meanwhile take our work very seriously. We have some very committed scientists here! The sheer volume of talent and knowledge is quite staggering.

The usual: there are some bad eggs, there are rumors, there are grumblings about the move to another city. Our typical complaints involve being unable to attend a meeting b/c we are busy, or juggling a bit much at one time.
