the co-workers are really nice

Run by a narcissistic megalomaniac with no concept of work life balance. Would meddle in the lives of his employees and they would feel pressured to do what he says because he is their boss. He would pressure staff to tell him personal details in confidence and then turn around and spread these details amongst the rest of the staff. Employees are expected to be available at all times with frequent meetings scheduled for after business hours, I witnessed one employee be terminated, it was later unofficially confirmed that it was due to him putting his phone on do not disturb at the end of the day It’s a decent place to work when the boss likes you but if he decides he doesn’t for whatever reason he makes it very unpleasant to be there

The work culture is fantastic, everyone at the company is friendly and easy to talk to. The development team is relaxed and very supportive, and I've never felt pressure to work unnecessary overtime or had black out dates for leave. Everyone on the team is happy to answer all questions and helps each other improve on their skills. There is also plenty of time allowed for professional development and to learn new skills and improve on existing skills. Management is very progressive in discussing the workplace culture and actually cares about your opinions and plans for the future as well as where you fit in, in the company. I have never felt like I've wanted to leave this company and can't see that changing in the future.

The only con that I can think of, is it doesn't have the backings of a larger company
