Pros
Hard working (often overworked) colleagues who knew their stuff. Decent OTJ training. Co-workers often very selfless and offered great advice and support. OK place to work as a temp gig bet. jobs or just to gain experience. Manager was located out of state so didn't have to deal with having a boss in my face all day (ie no micro-managing).
Kontras
Pay is not cutting the mustard. I was a technician there w/ years of experience and I was making less than a toll booth clerk...smh.. Management seems to be the cancer of this organization. A lot of complaints from my colleagues as well as myself revolved around the overall lack of understanding and appreciation of the dire work conditions and cutthroat/cliquish politics of our site. Communications from higher-ups very robotic and "routine based" ie 10,000 useless email reminders about meeting SLA's and silly graphs about aging tickets. Very inconsistent managing. Nobody cares until somebody cares to make a complaint, then you'll receive a generic, robotic response from your direct manager and 5 more of the same from other managers you've never heard of before who were CC'd on the email. Just an overall weird work culture. The reason I say I might have dodged a bullet was because I was let go after only 5 weeks of working there while the rest of my colleagues were there for at least 2 years and were dying to get out...warning me about what I was getting myself into during my first day. I actually felt relieved when they told me the contract was over. Now I have the chance to find something better XD
