The management team is young and way in over their heads. They’re CEO in particular is very impulsive and has pissed off a lot of people in the newspaper industry through easily avoidable mistakes. Their client base is about ~5,000 newspapers in the US, and they’ve burned bridges with a significant number of owners. High turnover in employees Very low likelihood the company will survive another 5 years. They have a habit of parting on bad terms with their employees

Pros

Challenging work with an extremely supportive culture that walks the walk in terms of transparency and individual professional development.

Kontras

It’s a lot of responsibility and you have to be able to operate within some grey areas. There’s extensive documentation via Notion on almost every aspect of the company (now we’re paid and who is paid what, team directory, financials, etc). Right out of the gate you need to be ready to learn and also try and provide value in a way that’s collaborative but also decisive.
