Pros

Pretty good opportunity for college students or early career professionals. You get exposure to different aspects of business like: recruiting, data analysis, consulting, event management, operations, and admin.

Kontras

Still operating like a startup after 10 years. Lack of internal infrastructure and systems. Lots of ad hoc work that’s engineered on the spot. High turnover rates. Pretty serious culture issues. Challenging to move upwardly even when you’re more than qualified. Might have funding issues as well.

Pros

During my time at Code2College, I was always welcomed with open arms. As I began to learn the curriculum and land my first internship, it was all thanks to Code2College! From my coursework in Turbo to my Elite 101/102 projects, I felt well prepared to take on new challenges in the ever-growing landscape of software development!

Kontras

* Some of my coursework taken didn't necessarily fit every company * Use of Python (good for basics, but many companies do not operate with python)

Pros

- Part-time employees get okay hourly pay and hour flexibility. Good for students looking for a side gig. - Most of your coworkers will be amazing.

Kontras

- All employees, but full-time especially, are overworked and underpaid. There is no mobility, so if you started part-time, don’t expect conversion, and they would rather hire someone external to fill roles. There is no investment in staff and they are used until they burn out. - Management routinely blocks PTO use for entire quarters and raise or promotion eligibility for entire years company-wide. Raises are rare and rarely large enough to notice. - The CEO doesn’t actually care about the mission and will take actions actively detrimental to the students for no justifiable reason. He micromanages but is never there when you need him and is misogynistic and spiteful towards employees and students. - All negativity in the company comes from the CEO and filters down. It doesn’t have to filter down far since he keeps firing or driving off leadership, leaving the rest of the company overworked and taking on duties far above their job description without any recognition or compensation. - While expecting everyone to be ready at a moment’s notice to hop into another understaffed department, they also restrict what each employee role is allowed to do, banning them from things they really need to get their job done effectively, often resulting in games of telephone seemingly engineered to stop you from building helpful professional connections.
