- Codat hired a lot of people last year (claiming their business was thriving and making exaggerated assertions about their unachievable goals such as hiring a lot more people by the end of the year ... etc). However, in December 2022, a few weeks before Christmas, they announced they were making nearly 100 people redundant (what felt like pretty much all the people that were hired that year, but I could be wrong). - Felt completely gutted given how short my experience was at Codat, but also for being let go right before Christmas, at a time where finding a job isn't particularly easy - I'm not sure whether I regret working there at all. The teams and processes are great, management not so much. They did try making up for their mistake by giving us a (good enough) severance package but we all felt like we got stabbed in the back and the family culture Codat developed over the years has now been crushed by the news. Not sure it will be recovered soon... - I still think it's a great place to work, I really enjoyed my time there but as you know in the job market the grass is always greener on the other side (especially in terms of salary package)
