The line of work is a reward in and of itself.

The job responsibility focus was not what was initially advertised.

When I began, the Program Coordinator was passionate and involved. The work was rewarding to see the small process of people who may not get a chance otherwise. The other mentors/group leaders at that time worked well together. I liked the "non-desk job" type of work. Very direct, active and creative work. Patience paid off.

Positions were change while I was there and no reasons were given, nor compensation to an employee marked down in pay. The change wasn't necessary in that no one has requested or been warned about the change. A second Program Coordinator was hired who didn't give us supplies and daily plans as the job requires leaving us with very little to work with for the clients. Was unwilling to listen to any concern we had. Frequently sent us on community activities short-staffed (required by law, mind you). With clients needing routine and activity, nothing was provided and things went downhill quickly and badly.
