Pros

Two weeks off at Christmas

Kontras

-Therapy is very different than other countries -Have had 11 staff leave in the last 9 months -45 hours a week is full time. Will try to not give you allowed breaks if you don't make them -Vindictive management. Go against them and they will make an example out of you. Will fire you if you don't give three months notice -Extremely low morale. No one likes working there -Will hold your work permit over your head and threaten you with lawsuits -Try to add a non-compete clause which does not align with accreditation - -No clear management system -Constant scheduling changes, day to day and even the morning of -Policies and procedures constantly change. They just make a new policy whenever to protect themselves -RBTs are disrespected, seen as bottom of the totem pole -Will arbitrarily deny vacation requests

Pros

CABA uses digital data collection methods, and has a nice facility. The direct care staff (RBTs) are all exceptional, and most have worked internationally. Very high quality in RBTs, and they are passionate and caring individuals.

Kontras

The owner struggles to facilitate an environment of safety and collaboration, and staff often walk on eggshells around this person. Depending on the status of the day, you may be met with defensiveness or hostility for bringing forward something that they may not agree with. Inconsistency also lends to a tense working environment, as frequently one staff member will be told one thing, and another staff member will be told something different. Incompetence is usually assumed first, rather than collaborating and supporting staff to solve problems. Stressful work environment for BCBAs that rapidly changes, without input from key stakeholders. Warning letters are given out without appropriate initial feedback, training, and documentation. This can create a punitive and aversive environment.

The team is supportive and committed to excellence. Everyone tries their very best to do the best work that they can, and they are incredible!
