If you see words like “accountability” and “ownership” in the job ad, be prepared for a culture where employees are blamed for everything, constantly micromanaged, and expected to carry excessive pressure. Expect to be severely overworked with no opportunity for growth. You’ll be encouraged to be “proactive” by taking on more and more responsibilities, yet there is no increase in pay — which is already below market rate for the role. The more you do, the more becomes expected of you.
