Some middle managers actively discourage participation in professional societies. Some middle managers ignore company policies and QA processes to meet project deadlines and schedules. Complete turnover of senior management after acquisition of smaller engineering firm last year. Most of new management team are from acquired firm and personally related to each other by blood or marriage.
