Pros
The only real pros of working at Cansel are the people, the flexibility, and their internal processes. Most of my coworkers were great, which made the job more bearable. They don’t micromanage, so there’s a good amount of freedom in how you work. They’re also fairly flexible with time off and understanding about appointments. One thing they do well is their internal processes—they’re well-structured and always being updated to improve efficiency
Kontras
There are so many issues with this company. I waited six months after quitting to write this review to make sure I wasn’t just venting in frustration. But now, after working for a company that actually treats its employees well, I feel this review is necessary. I worked at Cansel for six years, and quitting was the best decision I ever made. Nepotism and favoritism run deep here. If you’re a hard worker, you’ll likely just get more responsibilities without additional pay or recognition. And speaking of pay—it’s absolutely ridiculous for the type and amount of work they expect from you. The compensation is embarrassingly low, especially considering the workload, pressure, and expectations. Job security feels nonexistent—you’re always on edge, wondering if you’ll be fired next. Management only values employees who blindly agree with them. If you raise concerns or try to improve processes, they’ll ignore you until the problem explodes, then blame you for not addressing it sooner. Middle management seems to be a major issue. It feels like they keep upper management in the dark about what’s really going on, and instead of leading by example, they look down on employees. I’ve even heard them gossip about personal matters and bad-mouth employees to others, which is completely unprofessional. The culture here is manipulative—like a toxic relationship where they give you just enough to keep you around while making you feel replaceable. The only way to advance is by being friends with management, not through hard work or skill. If a coworker isn’t pulling their weight, instead of holding them accountable, management just dumps their work onto more competent employees. Overall, this company is a mess. The pay is insulting, the culture is toxic, and hard work goes unnoticed. If you have other job options, take them. Working here will only leave you stressed, undervalued, and exhausted.
