Pros
CUProdigy has some great mid level management and individual contributing employees. Many of the people who work there are good people and try their best to succeed with the very limited resources they are given. Good snacks. Fun casino night annual party! That's about it...

***PLEASE READ BEFORE ACCEPTING A JOB OFFER! Where to start... I currently work for Prodigy. However I have already begun applying to new jobs to get out of this toxic culture. First, if you look at the positive reviews, most of them were placed by the executive team and a few others on February 22, 2022. This is because the executive team realized there were terrible reviews on this site and wanted to drown those out. Basically you can see for yourself that we were told as a company to leave reviews and raise the review numbers. You can make your own judgement on how accurate the review average is and how ethical that is. The senior leadership of CUProdigy is driving this company into the ground! At first I thought it was only the COO who was causing so many issues. Now unfortunately I've seen that the CEO has fallen into the COO’s terrible leadership practices (probably likely driven by the COO’s desire to control the whole show and undermine the CEO. The COO was originally friends with the CEO from previous roles and the only reason she got the job was because of their friendship. Yet, they have sent out policies on favoritism and nepotism with hiring and that they will no longer hire friends of employees...Hmm? A few more points to consider when considering employment here: -The COO only hires and keeps employees that align with her exact way of doing things. Those who do align have been given multiple raises in the same year. Literally ALL who don't align with her have been driven out or fired. In the first year of working at Prodigy, she fired or ran off HALF of the work force!! -The COO and CEO consistently fire or drive out employees who are doing well but are being paid at the top of their pay grade. They refuse to increase pay beyond the top pay scale and fire those who they claim are "over paid". This has happened multiple times where they fire higher paid employees just to rehire the role for a lower cost employee. If that's the culture you want regarding compensation. Personally I only want to work for a company who values me and wants to pay me as much as possible for the value I bring... -The company is basically a software service company built to serve the shareholders who are Credit Union investors. Due to this model, the company has no innovative growth or trajectory to increase revenue significantly. So basically its a "nearly non-profit" company that is stagnant and wants to be an "exciting" tech company yet it's shareholder (owners) don't want to invest or fund the company like a software company needs to be. They want to run a tech company like a credit union. -Compensation is on the low side. This company really can't hire significant talent due to funding constraints and I plan to use my experience here to get a similar role at $20-$30k more per year with a different tech firm. They are also looking to hire more employees out of state because they don't want to compete with the Utah standard rate of pay. -I just recently saw that they are re-hiring for a specific role. The CEO had sent out an email stating they weren't re-hiring for the role and laid off the current individual right when they came back from maternity leave (WHAT?!). First, who lays someone off after they are about to come back from maternity leave and second who lies to the company and said they aren't filling this role but had enough time pass to re-hire for the role and not have to pay severance to that employee? I loved working with that employee and they did a great job for the company. Definitely disappointed in the slimy and unethical approach taken with this situation. -Again, the CEO and the COO run the entire place and drive the culture. If you don't align with their culture, you will be fired or driven out. Most of the company has been fired or quit with turnover in the last two years.
