Pros

Free Drinks and snacks in the office Other employees are nice

Kontras

The company only really values the consultants. If you work in any other area than that you will be expected to do anything and everything to make them happy, even if it means working ridiculous hours to meet insane deadlines. There is next to no respect for other employees from higher up as you do not directly bring in money. If you ARE a consultant, get ready to have zero work-life balance as you will most likely be working evenings and weekends. Trying to discuss salary is like getting blood from a stone and they will die on their own sword before seeing reason. The same can be said for most promotion cases, You will have to create a presentation essentially saying how you have brought extra money in for the business, rather than having actually been doing your job well. Overall do not bother. The work itself is tedious and ironic. They mostly give advice they should take themselves. Save yourself the torment.

Kontras

In the 2 times I have worked for BTS I have been misled on the environment/situation I would be working in. Which has led to serious issues. The first time, I was recruited I moved my family across the country for a position that had 16 turnovers over a 2 year period due to the toxic government leadership. I was not given any heads up and was put in a seriously challenging position for both my career and financial wellbeing. The second time I took a job with BTS, I was told the contract had just been awarded for 5 years. However, once I arrived, again having moved my family across the country, I found out the contract was on a 6 month extension. There are other issues on the administrative side, and all I will recommend is to document everything. You WILL need the proof sometime down the road. All in all, I would say at times BTS was good, but mostly they operate in the morally gray to keep that top line up. Was fired over voicemail, for not working overtime (just working a standard 40 hour work week at night!) while I was recovering from the flu. No notice, no conversation, just canned. If management had taken a moment to speak with me, I could have provided email proof I had approval to take a slight step back while I and my family all recovered from the flu.
