There is a significant issue with leadership, especially within HR. Key leadership positions often rotate every four years with expats from Japan, which means U.S. staff frequently advance into leadership roles by attrition rather than through demonstrated excellence. Unfortunately, this has resulted in mediocre leadership that lacks vision.
