Since this company is primarily an Oracle based shop the hiring manager asked me about my Oracle and PL/SQL skills. The hiring manager also mentioned that workload in broken into three distinct groups: stored procedures/back end development (30%), web development (30%) and reporting (40% using Excel/VBA and Crystal Reports). There is also some SQL Server database work.

I confirmed that I had used Oracle in my previous assignment at Merkle Inc. and that I had also used Excel macros to connect to a database and display data in tabular form.
