For our Competence Center IT & Digital, we are seeking a Database Administrator (m/f/d) Informix. This position can be filled groupwide.

Your Tasks

• Provisioning, administration, migration, maintenance, monitoring, and tuning of Informix and MS SQL databases and their associated DB components
• Preparation and execution of changes, version, and release upgrades for Informix and SQL Server
• Documentation of database systems and components for both platforms
• Conducting proactive performance analysis and troubleshooting of errors in Informix and MS SQL systems
• Administration of Informix platforms and MS SQL servers with regard to confidentiality, integrity, availability, performance, authenticity, fault tolerance/resilience, cost-effectiveness, transparency, and auditability
• Installation, standard configuration, monitoring, and programming support and management of established systems for both database platforms

Your Profile

• Degree in (business) computer science or a solid IT education with several years of professional experience
• Extensive experience in the administration of Informix databases, including versions such as Informix Dynamic Server (IDS)
• Knowledge of implementing Informix cluster environments to ensure high availability and fault tolerance
• Expertise in handling Informix fragmentation techniques and optimizing storage structures for efficient performance
• Experience in configuring and optimizing Informix Onstat and other diagnostic tools
• Familiarity with Informix SQL, particularly in creating efficient queries and stored procedures
• Ensuring data integrity and availability in Informix databases
• Very good written and spoken English language skills; German is an advantage
