As the Photography Manager, you will be based in Frankfurt and lead, develop, and motivate a team of Research Photographers in Frankfurt, Cologne and surrounding areas. The CoStar Research Photographers provide high-quality photography, drone video & images on high-visibility commercial and multi-family properties. They also collect key data points each day for all targeted properties using their mobile device including “to let” and “for sale” properties, tenants, building size, and characteristics. CoStar Group customers rely on our team to complete the marketing vision of their assets.


  • Train, mentor, and coach a growing team of up to 10 professional, field staff members
  • Source and hire experienced, full-time team members in key geographies of your responsibility
  • Spend quality time with local and regional team members to demonstrate best practice with media collection, postproduction, data collection, process optimisation, and customer service
  • Review incoming media and data to determine its quality relative to standards and guidelines
  • Provide constructive and actionable feedback to team members to meet both production and quality expectations
  • Create action plans to help team members grow, succeed, and maintain their engagement
  • Professional and effective communication with clients and internal partners during all aspects of Research tasks and projects
  • Continued learning and development of your craft, including staying up to date on new techniques and technology
  • Monthly travel in your geography required


  • Language proficiency in both English and German
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrable experience managing a team in a corporate environment
  • Photography experience and use of Adobe Creative Suite, IE: Photoshop and Lightroom, Premiere Pro beneficial
  • Demonstrated interest and/or experience in the commercial real estate industry
  • Knowledge and understanding of local market labour laws
  • Leadership and management skills, including the ability to prioritise and control workload of a team, coaching, and mentoring through professional development
  • Experience with creating effective KPIs and meeting performance metrics, being results-oriented
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Success in building strong, cohesive teams by leading and motivating towards action/execution through influence and collaboration
  • Ability to articulate and execute corporate strategy, well-communicated with the ability to influence
  • Experience and demonstrated proficiency with Excel that includes the ability to manipulate data, filter, and develop basic formulas.
  • Creative problem solving, attention to detail, objectivity and the ability to think strategically
  • Analytical approach with the ability to interpret information and trends, adapting quickly
  • Ability to interact at all levels and establish rapport with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Full driving license
