Good college benefits. Plenty of time off. Plenty of travel. Room and board paid for.
ummm....yeah about that, there's a lot of stuff they're not going to tell you when you sign on. So, just...focus on how you're serving your country and the honor you're bringing to your family name.
The full package is pretty nice. Retirement pension plan, TSP contribution fund, full medical, dental, etc. Pretty much the best package anyone ever gets.
As a retired veteran I have excellent health care with the VA. The only problem is the often long wait for a visit. If it is an emergency you are seen immediately.
Vacation, retirement, garunteed pay, free housing
Not enough pay to do what a family has to do month to month.
Dependent on your organization, you will be able to use vacation days when you are allowed to by command. Healthcare, medical facilities near by (Occasionally)
Working with the SOF community as well as performing various types of training while assigned to this command.
I have nothing negative to say about the benefits package, all been positive.
The best thing about the U.S. Army benefit package is the full medical coverage, the 30 days off a year, and the housing.
