Part of our interview process involves inviting team members from other disciplines to talk to our candidates; we do this because of the highly collaborative, multidisciplinary nature of our work. Additionally, we love to talk about our work, and welcome all candidates to ask. We of course have to maintain confidentiality on our work as requested by our clients, but aim to share applicable information to paint a picture of the type of work we do at IA. Weniger

What sorts of programs do you use, and for what purposes?

I said that I use the "Holy Trinity" of the Adobe CC Suite regularly: Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign. I use them all primarily for print production. I also outlined my knowledge of print readiness and designing for screen. I told of the other programs I use: Bridge, Dreamweaver, Muse, Draw, Sketch, Comp, etc. Weniger
They did seem to be concerned that I was going to dislike the "older" environment of the college?

I told them I was adaptable and versatile and could work anywhere.
The one question that kept coming up was: Which do you prefer, print or web design?

What type of design are you most comfortable with print or digital?

I'm comfortable with anything regarding creativity.
How do you prioritize projects for multiple people including upper management and other organization departments.

(Varies for each designer) I generally give sketches to the project's owner, to minimize a waste of time or effort, so I can determine the project's direction and ensure the deadline is met successfully. This also cuts wait time for the owner to see project progress; allowing me ample time to juggle multiple projects, and really develop a variety of new ideas while I'm waiting for the project feedback.
