Recruiter reached out and set up a phone screen. The conversation was friendly and exploratory. She shared details regarding the role and hiring process. Next step was a Skype interview with 2 managers. This consisted of about an hour conversation and then a brief role play. Managers were very outgoing and excited about discussing the company and success path for me. The role play was awkward, but they always are. I wish they provided a little information about what they were looking for in the process before diving in but all and all I think they are just looking for someone to be nimble and curious on the phone.

Phone and then video chat. Honestly, based off all the reviews I've read of people that interviewed, plus current employees caused me to decline the offer. Phone interview was fine, but video interview was very strange. In the phone interview I was asked what my salary expectations were - REALLY??? You shouldn't even be asking this question until closer to the end of the interview process! VERY RUDE! Consider candidates based off how they will help your company succeed - don't weed out candidates based solely off of a salary #! I think leadership needs to quit spending so much time making goofy videos and step in and re-evaluate this screwed up interview process and also start reading Glassdoor reviews - be more in-tune to what's going on in your organization. For applicants, make sure to read reviews of current employees - a lot of them are saying the same things. It's a red flag when a company is advertising unlimited PTO and then your sales dept. seems afraid to even take time off for worry they won't make their quota! No thanks! I want to work at a company that encourages me to take time off regardless of whether or not I made quote for 1 month! Ridiculous! Unlimited PTO sounds like a big scam! WeddingWire, you need to start listening to the people you're interviewing and your current employees!

Looking for young and inexperienced people that will not ask for a lot of money, while building their network. Probably taking a large percentage of the clients profit and probably not getting the top business in certain categories as they do not need to cut in a middle man to be found.

Very long process. Recruiter interview , homework, manager interview, mock sales pitch, then another interview with odd questions . Wasn’t sure I even wanted the job anymore.

The first step was a phone screen with a recruiter. This step was easy and very basic in regards to a phone screen, the recruiter I spoke with was very personable and completely understood the industry I came from and saw how I could bring value to the company. The Second round was a phone call from someone in the Venue department. This interviewer was very rude and wouldn't ask clear questions--mainly throw in unnecessary vocabulary to make her basic questions sound complex. It was almost like she didn't understand sales other than advertising. It is not rocket science. The questions were all very vague and not even tailored to the industry tasks or packages. Basically all you need to know is if you get an interviewer with a raspy voice and bad attitude tell them you need to reschedule.

This was a pretty standard phone interview. I applied online, I spoke with HR and we discussed my background. They then asked if I would like to come in to interview, and I ended up declining because I moved to another city. The gentleman I spoke with was nice and professional, and very straight forward about the position and everything that it entailed. Overall, it was a good interview experience.

The interview process was extensive and set up the expectations for what to expect in the role. I interviewed with multiple people and was given an opportunity to shadow current employees.

A recruiter contacted me via Linkedin and she was amazing to work with throughout the process. I did a mock sales pitch over the phone with two managers listening in and role-playing a scenario. They brought me in for an in-person interview, and I received an offer shortly after.

It is a very thorough interview process; do as much research as you can. I did an initial phone screen, did a Google Hangout with 3 managers, and a mock phone pitch. I'm not sure what they're exactly looking for - it might be sales reps with similar functions such as those from Yelp. Nonetheless, it is a tiring interview and at the end you're not even sure if you want the job - you just want the job because of how tiring it is. I followed up with Thank You notes and even contacted currently employees via LinkedIn for insight on the company. It does seem like a company truly invested in it's employees. I was interviewing for a position in Long Beach, so I'm unsure if this regional location has the same company culture.

Applied online and was contacted approx. one week later. Was provided a general overview of the job and requirements. Although I was not necessarily seeking a inside sales position, I went forward with the interview process (because you never know if another position may be offered or if it was more than initially thought. Plus, who doesn't like interview practice?). To put all in retrospect, I have been in sales for 4+ years and was just looking for new opportunities. Who wouldn't want to sell to wedding vendors? Interviewed with 4 managers. Very quick questioning with no connection/small talk (except for 1). I quickly got the vibe that they didn't truly care about me, my past experience or how that qualifies me for the position. I could imagine them saying, "Oh great another interview..." before walking in. It all felt robotic. Like they just wanted another warm body. The questions, for the most part, were horrible. I don't understand how you can judge a person and their qualifications based on the questions I was asked. Concluded the interview and sent follow up Thank You notes to everyone. I am surprised this company has such great ratings online based on my interview. Didn't receive an offer...which I would have turned down anyway.
