Grad school interviews are well-organized with a highly-welcoming atmosphere. Each interviewing student will meet with 4-6 PI's and the rest of the weekend is various social events with further information about the programs.

There were three or four interviewers and I had to have one on one interview with them. It was a one-day long interview at UTHealth, but it was done in a stress free environment.

I sent emails asking for the position that I heard from a friend and then was contacted by two senior employees who performed the same job responsibilities. I was offered an in-person interview about one week later. The two employees interviewed me and then a decision was made.

I submitted my application through the graduate school first, but was place on the wait-list. The department of MMG inivted me for an interview independently of GSBS. I met with 8 professors for 30 minutes each. It mostly involved listening to them explaining their science and asking interesting questions. I got questions like, what field are you interested in, or what do you want to work on ('scientifically')? Also, what was your undergraduate research about? etc. Mostly science discussion.
