Highly competitive, very difficult to get an interview the clinical skills required are tough to get/tough to compete against others. Usually requires a masters or other research experience to gain an interview. Interviews are with a panel and are clinical scenarios I prepared by watching youtube videos of previous applicants.

I had the lead of the service, senior clinical psychologist and a service user on my interview. It was a very pleasant experience overall. I came to the site, and after I finished my interview I got a call that afternoon (my interview was at 11), to tell me I was successful.
- I was asked 6 questions, 2 of them were focused on research projects I have done so far and I was asked the importance and implications of those projects. One of the question was about how I solved conflict within a team, one of them was how I applied psychological theory to clinical setting. There was a question about my weaknesses too and the first question was to tell them about myself.

It was a usual interview process with an introduction, then questions then if I had any questions. They asked approximately 10 questions, mentioned safeguarding, psychological interventions, most challenging experience, when you've used low level CBT in your workplace, your personal skills and attributes and how you can bring them to the team.
- What are the external and internal stakeholders that would be relevant in terms of our service users in our care.
