MediaMath: Bewerbungsprozess und Vorstellungsgespräch in London

Multi-stage, deeply engaging and efficient. MediaMath led a thoughtful and carefully orchestrated process that allowed me to engage across multiple stakeholders and build a deep knowledge of the business and role.

I applied directly after seeing the job ad on Linkedin. Initial phone call with their in-house recruiter was followed by a take-home assignment which, once I submitted it, had been evaluated. I was then asked to come in to present the work and meet the team. At a later stage, I was called in once more to also meet a team member who could not attend the first session. A few weeks later I got the final decision that I am offered the role

The interview process at MediaMath was top notch. There were multiple stages involved for the role I was applying for, and at every step of the way, clear expectations were set and follow up was timely and detailed. "NJ" was my first point of contact, and is one of the reasons I was so excited to become part of the MediaMath team. Her energy, positivity and candid approach to the process was refreshing, and gave me real insight into the type of people MediaMath is looking to hire. I was especially interested in the culture, as I was looking to work for a company that encourages new ideas, innovation, risk-averse and creative thinkers. I got a real, consistent "feel" for the culture through everyone I spoke to, and NJ demonstrated this in volumes. The process is designed to ensure the right people are hired that fit with the MediaMath culture, and the behavioural testing sets you up for success once you start. Overall, I enjoyed the process, and am delighted to now be part of the team!

8 interviews for by phone and face to face. Questions were around the industry and general industry knowledge along with the future of ad tech. The last interview last 10 mins asking why i want to join MediaMath.

Applied online, was contacted the next day to organise a screening interview. This went well, was asked to come in for a 1:1 interview with the team manager, passed this. Then asked to do an interview with three others, then a technical task on excel presenting to three employees, then final interview with platform manager. Offered the job, then told two weeks later that the job had been put on hold. Such a waste of my time with three separate trips to the London office and time spent carrying out the data analysis task. I can't help but think this was a lucky escape as this seems to have happened to others who have applied to MM. I would not recommend anyone waste their time applying to this company.

The Interview process consisted of a phone screening interview first with HR. This involved going through my C.V, why I thought I was suitable for the job and what experience I could bring to MediaMath. After passing initial screening I had a 1:1 interview with the Director of IT, London. Very similar to the previous screening however their was a technical test also. The second interview was a video conference with NY. Again this was to discuss my previous roles and see if I had suitable Technical knowledge and the right aptitude. The final interview was in the London Office. This consisted of Four members of the IT Team going through various Technical questions and previous Experience.

The HR department is really nice and caring. The process was probably one of the smoothest I've been through. You will have an informal chat talking about your previous experiences, projects you worked on, difficulties you found and ways you overtook those obstacles. I guess I was really passionate about my previous work experiences and the technology we used so it didn't really felt like an interview but a chat with colleagues.

Telephone interview followed by face to face interview a few days later. Three interviews with three different members of staff on the same day, all asking the same questions. A lot of uncertainty about where the role would be on completion of the training programme.

Four interview stages (three Skype calls (with NYC) and one face-to-face), all four were fun and engaging. The interviewer's made the interview feel more like a general "chat" opposed to a high pressure situation. The interview gives a great indication on the company culture and also shows you why the reviews are so good!

The process began with a short telephone conversation with their in house technical recruiter. Soon after I was invited to a interview with one of the companies managers at the office in Regents Street, London. The interview took about an hour. We discussed a variety of points about my own experiences and technical knowledge, as well as the work structure, culture and ethos of the company. The interview was relaxing and required some demonstration of skills and experiences relating to the role. Within a few days I received an invitation for seconded interview. This time I was interviewed by the the senior manager, along with two developers from the dev team. We again discussed my own experiences and technique knowledge. This time however I was able to really get a good insight into the types of projects I could potential work on, as well as the types of people I would be working with. Everyone was really friendly and helpful, the process ran very smoothly as the HR department and technical recruiter remained in contact with me during the entire process. I feel that the interview process for MediaMath is well organised, professional, relaxing and friendly. It has been by far one of the best interview processes I have been too. I was also really impressed that they took the time to research a bit about me prior to the interview, as they looked at my online portfolio and Github.com contributions. The only negative point to raise is that I was not given a huge amount of time to make my decision on the job offer.
