The interviewers were all really nice people, I got good feedback from the very beginning and the time between interview-feedback was reasonable. The technical interview and the assignment were not especially hard but they were enough to see if you actually like software engineering and your ability to solve product oriented problems which I so much liked. The interviews steps however were a bit repetitive in my opinion, which made the process longer and it took around one and a half month also due to sickness of one interviewer one time. But I believe this can be improved by maybe grouping all the similar interviews in one or something. Overall the people were really nice and friendly to me, I accepted the offer so I will be joining them soon.

- An assignment where I had to build a restful API and solve one problem solving the question - After that, I got an interview with HR describing the process - Then I had an interview with 2 developers (I got rejected after this one)

- Build a restful API to filter data based on some query params sent from the client. - problem coding question "given a message and an integer k return the message cropped to no more than "k" characters" - A question where I had to decuple 3 classes, this question was very boring and useless [ I didn't give them what they think is good and "clean" so I got rejected - which is a good thing, in my opinion, the whole 1 hour felt so toxic and unnatural ]

They first sent me an online coding test, then I had an HR screen and several rounds of technical and behavioral interviews (one technical, one behavioral and one with both), and occasional follow-ups with the recruiter.

Very basic questions concerning the technical parts : easy initial coding test and refactoring exercise. However the behavioral interviews were very repetitive with a lot of questions about team work, methodology, etc. The behavioral questions asked during the final interview were exaggeratedly hard to answer for a technical role. The feedback I received for all the interviews before the final one was very encouraging but I still didn't get selected, so do not keep your hopes too high if this also happens to you. The recruiter in charge of my application was very nice though.

a recruiter reached out to me for multiple IC positions and pitched about the company. had a phone interview with another recruiter for soft skills type of stuff. invited to a virtual onsite. asked to present an architecture I have worked in the past, no one asked any question about it and there was never a conversation of it during the interview stages so all the preparation was for nothing and a waste of time. their design interview was weird as they ask to rebuild their very own website and it was conducted by 3 interviewers. I started designing the system with estimations and scale numbers but they were not interested in that part; I quickly jumped to the high-level design by that request and fulfilled the functional requirements given. They were happy with the design. Later I got the feedback that I haven't used numbers I have given for the scale of the system; which is not true as they specifically told me they were not interested in that part not data models of systems which are crucial for estimations. I also had chats with CTO and engineering managers with some classic behavioral questions, nothing fancy. some cautions before investing time in their process - covid tested the validity of their business (multiple layoffs) and I believe still does - seems like a business-oriented company rather than engineering-oriented - not a very high bar on the hiring part as the process does not seem to be testing engineering skills - seems like a lot of technical debt exist on the engineering side, tech choices seems to be not very well thought and follows what popular in the industry

First step was a video chat with one of the founders. Second, they sent me a home work task. The task is so specific, detailed and sophisticated that it almost seems like they are trying to solve (or at least compare alternatives) their current business solutions via candidates for free. I gave up the task at this point! Didn't continue with the process.

We talked on the phone about the position and what I thought about it. Then I've been asked for my experience and what did I do before at all my previous jobs. They expanded a bit on how the company works and what are the benefits. I didn't get to know about the project I was working on as much as I wanted. Unfortunately they were looking for more experienced developer.

Applied from overseas, had several interviews with tech and non-tech staff, including with the CEO, Johannes. Great experience. Probably the best recruiting experience I've ever had, and all that despite conducting interviews over skype and google hangout. They seem like a great company to work for. Logistically I wasn't able to make the move to Germany happen at the time, but hope to join them in the not-to-distant future. Stephen, the internal recruiter, was extremely helpful, honest, and patient throughout the process (as were all the team members I spoke with). Couldn't have asked for a better interview process.
