With enthusiasm, this job was really perfect for me I would have been a great fit and was very enthusiastic about it. Had a few questions myself , the conversation was engaging. But then I got the rejection email, it was very thorough, it was bulletpointed out between ' good points ' and ' doubts ' the list of good points was 9 items, the doubts was 2 or 3. One point really offended me, it said something like ' big doubt on motivation ' I was shocked. Motivation for wanting a nice job in a cool growing company!? What else would my motivation be? Not sure what that was about, the other was ' not a right fit for the company ' then I realized these were internal notes to the person who was my POC all this time, emailing it to me. They forgot to finetune the points.....copy paste. At the end of the email it said ' we would like to keep your resume on file once we have a role that would better fit your profile.' But I wasnt a good fit? I emailed back to point it out, and they said it should've said ' not a right fit at this moment '. I got an apology, but felt that was handled poorly and unprofessional.
The setting of the job interview was very unprofessional. We were sitting on a couch in a very stuffy corridor. I felt highly overdressed in my jeans and blazer. I applied for the position of team leader but they offered me two weeks after the interview a job as quality manager. A completely different job! They just send me an email to tell this, with no proper motivation. Since the salary offer was way too less (2k month for 40 hours a week) I refused the offer.
