They don’t really get back to you at all. They can take up to 5 months to respond to one job positing even if websites say urgent. When they do interview it’s very much like you’re disposable

Really personable and kind interviewer engaged me with meaningful questions and prompts. I felt comfortable asking questions and getting to know the department as well. I loved talking to the faculty at TFT and appreciated the candor as well of the chair.

Phone interview first about my previous work and school experiences. Apparently they were looking for vey specific expertise and did not match what they had in mind. they were looking for familiarity with specific software which I didn't have and was not familiar with.
They were nice and considerate but unfortunately they needed more of industrial experience than working on campus experiences.

It was a good interview overall, I liked the people and it was nice. I had a good experience. This was friendly and a good environment, I have no qualms.

I was ghosted after the interview. No hard feelings but I did expect better from UCLA.

The department admin reached out to schedule an interview back in October. The following day I participated in a panel style virtual interview in which I was told at the conclusion of the interview that it be a long process and to wait 3 weeks for word. IMO I thought the interview went really well-- they seemed to be impressed with my experience. Due to the fact that I was told that this process would be a long one, I only followed up once with the admin that set up the interview and also exercised the patience that was asked of me. Had it not been for me checking the portal I would have never found out in December that I didn't get the position. Very disappointing.

I found the job on the UCLA website and sent in my resume. I didn’t hear anything for quite some time but then got a phone call from the department that would be hiring me.

The hiring process involves turning in Cover Letter and Application. 2 interviews with the Department head and the Student Officer. Ask overall about your background, your skill, and experience. Gave an overview of the position.

Interview went smoothly and easy question from former staff. Everyone (students who used to be peer mentors) were so nice and understanding. The whole process took less than 20 minutes.

I have three rounds of interviews by the different people asking questions about research experiences and interests. They also asked why chose this school. They are really nice and the interview is not very hard.
