After being selected I received an email and was asked to do a design assignment. After completing the assignment and putting in a good effort there was zero communication from the remote company.

I applied to The Remote Company around mid-June and received an email the following day stating the team was looking forward to getting to know me better through a Test Assessment. So far it was a great experience and I truly appreciated the fact that I got a response instead of being ghosted for a change. I spent all weekend doing the assessment and sent it back to them about 3 days later (the deadline was a week). 2 days later, I got a reply saying that once the team reviews the assessment, they will get back to me with feedback and next steps. I truly believe I did a good job on the assessment and I had high hopes at this point but unfortunately, I didn't hear back. I waited about a week to follow up, as I wanted to give them a chance to do so first. After my follow-up email, I received a response almost 3 weeks later saying that the team has been off the grid in a workstation in Istanbul and they were going to Venice and that the position is now on hold (the person I had been communicating with did not sound apologetic for her lack of communication). 2 weeks later I received another email from them saying that they won't proceed with my application. The communication with this company was horrific. Honestly, I would have preferred to have been ghosted from the beginning and not wasted a weekend doing this assessment when they had no intentions of giving me a chance.

It was a initial non-technical behavioural type interview. The interviewer asked different question about my previous experiences. Wanted to know whether some specific incidents happened in my previous workplace and what I did to resolve those situation.

After having a smooth call with the HR representative, we agreed on many aspects. However, following that, the company sent me a technical assignment focused on resource management, which involved uploading files and links, among other things. Despite finding the assignment easy, I received a rejection email from the company.

Very refreshing interview process. I first did a newsletter to present myself, using their app. I then had a half an hour Zoom call with their HR Manager, where I found out the position would be on a service agreement, rather than an employment contract. There was then a task to complete, shared on google drive. Then a final half an hour zoom call with the Finance Manager, who described the job and its challenges. All very quick and efficient, the process from the application to the final response was about 3 weeks.

The process wasn't hugely difficult, but it was very long and there was limited communication along the way. I enjoyed the interview and the creative application process. The only critique I have is feedback was always late (ie we'll have feedback to you by the end of next week, and feedback would come 3-4 weeks later). I think that if feedback is going to be late, a simple email saying we're still in the process of bla bla bla would really go a long way.

Very simple and easy. The lady made some important questions about myself and the job and after that, they asked me to do a test. This was the part when I failed but everyone was so polite regards.

Interviewing with The Remote Company has been the best hiring experience I have encountered. They are transparent about the company and expectations, and incredibly respectful of candidates' time. They offer timely and thoughtful responses to all emails, provide feedback and check-ins to put you at ease, and treat candidates like humans. The process began by submitting a newsletter resume about myself using one of the company's products. Straight off the bat, this was an interesting and different approach. This was followed by an email from the HR team with an initial test. Then came an HR interview with the HR manager who was very friendly and easy to talk to. There was then another interview with the department lead, who again was friendly, engaging and seemed genuinely interested in what I had to say. There was then a final test which involved completing a brief for the content team in which I received feedback to see how we would work together.

It was included a language test, project test, introduction interview, and so on. The process is a nice pipeline and they are very friendly and responsive and encourages along the way
