      Ich habe mich online beworben. Der Vorgang dauerte mehr als 6 Wochen. Vorstellungsgespräch absolviert im Februar 2008 bei Tesco Bengaluru (Tokio (Japan)).

      Vorstellungsgespräch

      I was already an employee of the company and was interviewing for another role completely different to mine in the company. I was a software engineer at the time of the interview, and was interviewing for the position of a functional analyst. Even though this was an internal recruitment, the process is very much the same for lateral recruitments as well.

      The process was initiated by an online job posting, and i applied to it with my CV only without the need for a cover letter. I was asked to take an aptitude / intelligence test where i was quizzed on simple math, pattern and series recognition questions to gauge my analytical ability and finally a verbal test in English to gauge the strength of my communication ability.

      After this, i was interviewed by a senior business analyst, who enquired about my understanding of retail and asked me a few questions on simple retail terminology and processes (cross docking, centralized distribution and its benefits, Tesco's processes for product picking in the warehouse, etc).

      This was further followed by an interview with my onsite manager, who was curious to understand my knowledge about drawing my own analysis on the job and how i would add value to their team. This was the last round after which my recruitment was confirmed.
