The interview process was roughly 6 weeks start to finish and roughly 4 main steps. 1. Spoke with a Recruiter, Therese, who walked through my background, told me a bit about the job to see if the role was a fit. 2. Spoke with a Regional Sales Manager via phone, very similar to step one, about 30 minutes 3. Virtual meeting with 2 Regional Sales Managers, deep dive into my background, what have I learned from these opportunities, where did i struggle, what has gone well, etc. 4, Panel Presentation on Salesforce, walking through a deal and territory. Pretty straight forward, was meant to see how you interact and present to a client All in it was a great experience, loved the people I got to speak with and Therese was super helpful along the way.

My interview was 90 minutes in total. Two parts 45 minutes each. The first part went very well. I can tell they were very satisfied with my answers to their questions such as why Salesforce, why me, why now, my background etc. They were 2 Managers calm and professional, walked me through what's expecting me, reassured that I have a better understanding of this 45 minutes with them. Provided positive feedback for the entire 45 minutes. The second part was truly shocking. One of the panelists came on time (1 Director 1manager) she introduced herself and said I guess our Director should be joining too let’s wait, so we were just talking about random things for about 25 minutes, and the director came, it sounded like he was sorry but not sorry. He said he had a meeting then he had to eat lunch Then they asked me to introduce myself I talked like literally 5 minutes and he cut-me off said can I introduce myself because we have other questions to ask you. I said sure that is fine I just didn’t want to miss anything about myself that I wanted to tell you. Those behavioral questions were related to “Polite Toxic” job atmosphere questions which I don’t deal on my day to day with. And I understand there is a reason why they ask because that specific team/role routine must require that. However, I want to leave this here, so it helps for future candidates with their process. There was a question about something that bad happened at work and what I learned from it. I described the situation and I said I always admit when fail and learn from my mistakes. The lady (manager) took the word out of my mouth and said “Fail is a very strong word towards yourself, you should use lost instead because we always win” in my 9 years career I have been in many job interviews and interviewers give a standard question tell me the time you failed and what you learned from that and never I’ve never received this type of feedback. Fail- failure, lost-loser these are synonym words it has not so much of a difference. We are the people we all make mistakes. I have read a lot of reviews how middle management bully’s the people who works under them. I can clearly see that happening with these types of managers. I prepared 2 weeks for this interview, I had specific questions for each of them based on their background and I got most of my questions from the study resources that they have. The most interesting part is I gave her a question at the end like tell me 3 things that can be taught, and 3 things can’t (I used their study guide) her answers were completely opposed to what was mentioned there. That tells me how much of employees can make a difference on their companies’ reputation. I kept my professionalism and sent customized thank you emails to each panelist within 24 hours. Of course, this doesn’t change my opinion about Salesforce as I am in love with this company not just it’s #1 CRM company, because of its community involvement and its impact for this COVID era. Although I have great things to say about my recruiter. Instead of generic rejection email she sent me very nice personalized email and offered to stay connected. She was so efficient and professional from the beginning. Even if I were to get an offer, I was ready to turn them down as I noticed red flags and couldn’t see myself succeeding with those people. However, dear candidates please know your worth and make your decision accordingly.

I went through just the first call with the recruiter. What I didn't expect was such approach. The recruiter was cold and detached, the way of asking questions was biased, sounded more like an interrogation. Sincerely i didn't expect such aproach from a company such Salesforce, but I am confident it was just an isolated case/recruiter.
