Went through 6 interviews during 3 days (one day with two interviewers). First round with one PM (soon to be principal) and one principal, others rounds were only with partners. Each interview day was in a different office in Europe. HR took care of the interviews organisation in a efficient way. Very responsive and nice during the whole process.

    At the end of 2016, I was contacted by Patricia T*** / Celia M*** from Rolland Berger, Sao Paulo's office, to have a round of interviews with 2 partners. Few days later, we scheduled another round of interviews with 2 other partners. Since then, I never heard from the company again.

    Asked twice for a feedback, no answer at all. In short, if you are applying for a position at Rolland Berger do not expect respect from them, at least from the Sao Paulo's office, and be adviced that you may never get a feedback.

    Went through 2 rounds of 2 case interviews, each following the same pattern, 10mins to talk about yourself, 50mins to go through a case. Very typical format. Cases were not overly difficult but still required to be quick on your feet, especially with calculations that could be quite heavy. Something less typical though was the not quite friendly attitude. People were somewhat patronizing, arrogant, old school in the sense they were almost bragging about doing long hours (70-80hrs a week). I've been in consulting for a long time. My opinion is that if you do such long hours, every single week, then there is something wrong somewhere. Projects might be understaffed or suffer some inefficiencies. Modern companies aim for a reasonable work/life balance. They don't.
    They also want candidates dying to join them, having the firm in the highest regard. They seem to forget that here in north american, they have nowhere near the reputation they have in Germany or France.

    The interview is divided as followed :
    - sending your resume and cover letter if they are interested they contact you quickly to set up an appointment with them. It didn't take a week.
    - Rounds of interview with consultants

    • During the first round, you will have two interviews. Both interviewers will screen your resume and ask details to why you did those study? Why do you want to join their firm? What makes you a bit special?
      After that you have a to crack a case. In my case, I had to give idea of how to increase the revenue of a company and evaluate the market for sport drink? They look at the way you think as well as how you present.
