    Bewerbung

Ich habe mich online beworben. Der Vorgang dauerte mehr als 4 Wochen. Vorstellungsgespräch absolviert im August 2020 bei Quotient (Mountain View, CA (Vereinigte Staaten von Amerika)).

    Vorstellungsgespräch

Interviewers (HR and Hiring Manager) were very nice, and some of the HM's questions were very thought provoking. HM was also nice enough to satisfy my curiosity regarding the industry/how retailers operate.

I really did enjoy the interviewers.

The application -> Call from recruiter took a month though. Not sure if it is because of covid, of I was the bottom of the barrel candidate. Either one is as likely.

Recruiter reached out 2 weeks later and asked for a reschedule. But no show again at the time.
Asked for 3rd rescheduling. No show the 3rd time.

    Terrible experience.

Horrible. A recruiter reached out to schedule an interview. We scheduled it for a certain time and then he changed the time. I emailed him to let him know I couldn't make the time. but I didn't hear back, so I went ahead and moved my whole schedule to accommodate the time. He didn't show up. I sent him 2 follow up emails. He responded asking to re-schedule. I responded 2 more times with additional times and never heard back.

Do not waste your time with this company.

Phone interview with recruiter who found me via LinkedIn. After some messages were exchanged we scheduled a phone screen. Interviewer was 10 minutes late to call but extremely friendly and helpful in describing the role.

We were invited to do some onsite interview with the engineers and the hiring manger. The interview was awesome + the experience. Technical interview was easy relatively. But they NEVER responded. They said they are going to let everyone know in a week and it has been like 6 weeks since then and despite my multiple emails and follow ups, they have not responded to any of us. disappointing.

    Vorstellungsgespräch

Quotient participated in Santa Clara University Winter quarter fair, they called around 20 students to their Mountain View Office.
HR gave us insight into the company's core product and core values.

First Round - Group Discussion about data structures.

Second Round - two LeetCode questions were asked -

    1)Two Sum
    2)Longest Substring Without Repeating Characters
We were asked to write the code on paper.

For two sum they were looking for at least 2 approaches and for the second one they were selected candidates who solved the problem using Sliding Window Approach.

Third Round - Interaction with the manager where normal queries were asked from the resume.

Next-Day - HR emailed with me an offer

    Vorstellungsgespräch

I applied online and about a week later I was invited to a phone interview with a recruiter.

The interview went really well, and I was told that I'd be hearing back from her to set up a second phone interview with the hiring manager. The recruiter said if I didn't hear from her I should email back. A few months go by and I don't hear anything. About a month goes by, so I decide to reach back out to the recruiter.

Two weeks later, I receive a response to my follow-up saying that I wouldn't be moving forward. That same day, I received a call from the recruiter I spoke with initially (and who sent me the rejection letter) saying that the position was still open and that she actually did want me to continue. I was like, "okay, awesome". Then, I was scheduled for an interview with the hiring manager, who was really nice. The interview went really well and she told me to expect to hear back from the recruiter with information for the in-person interview. I waited about a week and was given confirmation on the interview for that same week.

I went to the interview. It was about 3 rounds, 1.5 hours. I interviewed with two managers the first two rounds, typical questions, not too hard. The last interview was with the HM I had spoken with on the phone. There was great chemistry, a really friendly interviewer. She just told me to ask any questions I didn't get the chance to in the phone interview. I was given a tour of the office and introduced to several other employees in passing. I left feeling good about the whole thing.

I was expecting to hear back the next week, however, I didn't hear anything. I sent a follow-up the week thereafter and got an email back immediately saying that I would be hearing feedback that week and if I didn't hear back to email the day I was supposed to hear back. I didn't hear back, so I followed up and have yet to hear back.

Overall, everyone was very nice and professional throughout the process. The recruiters weren't very responsive, so it was hard to schedule the next steps or get answers to questions--that was unprofessional in my opinion. Also, the process took way too long for an entry-level position. Otherwise, the people I interviewed with in person were very energetic, seemed like they enjoyed their jobs, and were professional.

Their HR team is HIGHLY unorganized. I interviewed and then went into a "black hole". I know others who are interviewing as well and they ALL have had the same experience. Trying to get on the hiring managers calendar for an interview was also a painful experience. It took HR 4 days to schedule that call.

    Vorstellungsgespräch

I have never felt compelled to write a review for an interview before but being a recruiter this was too bad to let go. I received an email requesting my availability, which I give. I received an email back with only a time listed, it was outside of my available time frames but I thought ok, I really want the opportunity so will make it work. Since there was no mention of an actual date I assumed she meant it was for that day and rearrange my schedule. The time for the interview comes and I hear nothing, so I wait awhile then call. Since this is a position in the Talent Acquisition department the interview is with the LEAD. She meant to schedule it for Wednesday, no calendar invite. I think ok, honest mistake and I am still really interested in the role, so I make arrangements to be available again. Red flag number 1. Wednesday comes and she calls on time. We talk for awhile mostly about my history, she offers little to no background on the company or attempt to "sell" me on the role. She admitted to having no history in recruiting, yet is the lead? Red flag number 2. She cuts me off and rushes off the phone after 30 minutes because she has another meeting before I can ask my list of questions. She schedules an additional a time to talk a whole week later. I make arrangements for the THIRD time. That time comes and she says she can't remember why she even scheduled an additional time to talk, spends most of the time digging for her notes, talked briefly about the changing nature of the company and again rushes me off the phone. This follow up lasts about 10-15 minutes, now I am confused. Before letting me go she says she is wrapping this up this week and will let me know the following Monday one way or the other if I am chosen for the next steps. Monday comes and I don't hear anything. Tuesday, I write a follow-up email and get no response. Thursday, I become worried because I had some email issues so I reach out again. NOTHING. Red flag number 3. I wait a whole week and reach out one last time, you guessed it crickets! Super unprofessional, especially since you have an ATS that can send out an automated rejection letter that would literally take 2 seconds. I was flabbergasted to experience that from any recruiting professional let alone the LEAD. The recruiter is the gateway and "face" of your company, if you treat applicants like their time doesn't matter that is a big indication of how you likely will be treated as an employee. The LinkedIn trail of quick turnover in that department seems to back up that observation as well. For whatever reason my 6 plus years and proven track record in recruiting didn't make the cut but the department is that big of a mess? Consider it a bullet dodged! I can promise I have never ghosted an applicant. So disappointing.

Ich habe mich über einen Personalvermittler beworben. Der Vorgang dauerte mehr als 4 Wochen. Vorstellungsgespräch absolviert im Mai 2019 bei Quotient (Cincinnati, OH (Vereinigte Staaten von Amerika)).

    Vorstellungsgespräch

This was a 4 part interview including a phone screen, two phone calls, and one in person interview. The final in person interview was about 4 hours and I met with 5 different people from potential co-workers to other directors the team works with. Overall it was fairly easy with the interviews being mostly conversational.
