    Had an initial phone interview that lasted one hour conducted by one individual. This interview consisted of a lot of "Tell me about a time when..." questions. Some were trickier than others depending on your past experiences that were relatable. This interview was more of a friendly conversation. The second interview was a 2 hour long interview that included a scenario where you had to get a product out on time and were required to email the client about deadlines and updates.

    Two interviews total. Both were phone interviews (I was interviewing out of state). First interview was like your typical first interview. Second interview was 2 hours long and I interviewed with 3 different people. First part was a live simulation where you were given a scenario and asked to write 3 emails handling it. Second part was more in depth questioning with supervisors. They were all very easy to talk to and came prepared.

    The process took about 3-4 weeks before being contacted by a hiring manager for a phone interview. The phone interview went smooth enough, with a couple of call drops while being conducted.

    After about a week and a half with no update, I was contacted again for an in-person interview. During the interview, I met with 3 hiring managers. The first one covered the roles and responsibilities, and a bit about PEP's history and future. The second was a standard interview asking general questions of where you see yourself, examples of when you succeeded or failed in life, etc.

    Grueling! From memory there were 3-4 interviews before a position was offered. Remember that they could not have any positions currently open even though they're performing interviews. Don't leave your current job until you receive an offer. From what I've heard though, they've streamlined the process so it could be better now.

    I had three phones interviews spanning over two months: the initial screening, personality interview and another for a reason I'm not sure of. All three interviews were with the Cincinnati office team members. It wasn't until early January that I was scheduled to come in for an in-person interview at the Denver location. The interview lasted almost 3 1/2 hours, which was a bit unnecessary, and consisted on different team members coming in to ask questions. The process was redundant with everyone asking me the same questions. After 3 1/2 hours of this, the supervisor mentioned nothing had been relayed to her from my three previous phone interviewers and to answer them as if I'd never been asked before. It made me question if I was even what they were looking for. In the end, I knew I didn't get the position after they gave me the classic "We just started our interviewing process". This process took way too long. They need to communicate much better between offices and not waste other's time. Finally, give the candidate a proper description of the position. I was told one thing the entire time leading up to the in-person visit, and I still didn't have a solid understanding of what they needed until the very end of the lengthy interview. Relieved I didn't get this position as their communication gave me a taste of what it would be like working there.

    Thanks for taking the time to review us! I oversee our Recruiting efforts and always value positive and constructive feedback. I want to acknowledge a few points you made here. First: We do have a lengthy and thorough 3-step interview process. Please know that we have taken the valuable feedback from multiple candidates and have decided to cut our process down to 2 steps. We are excited to roll this out for the benefit of our candidates!

    Second: We have also entirely updated our questions to remove redundancy. This was not in error, however. Since we have you meeting with so many team members throughout the process, we use these repeat questions as a chance to get a variety of perspectives on the responses. However, we were finding that this logic was not being properly communicated and often resulted in similar sentiments to yours above. Therefore, we are making that change as well.

    Lastly: Your particular process did occur over the holidays which makes it very hard to move quickly due to candidates and interviewers being busy or out of the office. We typically try to communicate this to our candidates, but if that was not done so then I greatly apologize! It is disappointing to hear that by the end of it all you still had little understanding of the role. That should be made very clear by the interviewers throughout the process, but if you have specific questions that could help us alleviate any confusion, then we greatly encourage you to ask them!

    This interview process was a lot quicker quicker than other internships I was applying for at the same time. The first phone screen was about 45 minutes long. Consisted of basic questions you might expect for an initial interview. They asked about my 5 year plans and goals and about my past experiences. Not too long after I got asked to come in for a face to face interview. The next interview processes involved behavior questions and a planning and email simulation interview. The people were all very friendly and nice. They were sure to offer me water and such as the interview process was pretty long once I was there. I got their decision a week or two later.

    Grueling 3 step interview process which includes phone scan, in person interview with recruiters (who were new hires themselves), written tests, and second round of interviews with the hiring team. And that's AFTER the two 45 minute online personality and skills assessment tests. After completing round 3, which included orientation and benefits preview, I was turned down without an explanation. Their HR department stated it is not within policy to provide a reason. ANY candidate deserves a reason if they ask for one. It's bad PR for the company as it looks suspicious if unable to provide a valid reason. A waste of time for the candidate because the same questions asked during round 3 were almost identical to the phone scan. Either Pep has a candidate quota to fulfill or the individual interviewers are not communicating.
