Ich habe mich auf Empfehlung eines Mitarbeiters beworben. Der Vorgang dauerte 2 Wochen. Vorstellungsgespräch absolviert im Januar 2016 bei Ola (Bengaluru (Indien)).

Vorstellungsgespräch

Multiple round of interviews, ranging from 4 to 6. One with hiring manager, one with an Engineering Manager, the other interviews with other leading product guys. Once you send your CV, you are shortlisted, initial one or two telephonic interviews and then rest face to face.

    2 words - "Extremely Unprofessional".
    (Compiled from my personal experience and those of other friends who appeared for Sr pm positions in Ola)

    1) Ola does not respect the candidates time. During phone screens you will be asked to show up at some time and it's very common that the interviewer will not show up and will not bother to even inform. During face to face rounds, you will be asked to come early in the morning and left alone in the room. No--one will show up. And when they do several hours after the set time they will all say that they had meetings to attend.

    2) Quite cheap. For a cab company it comes as a surprise that will not comp you for cab fares. Not only that, they are barely interested that you had food.

    3) Random interviews. The HR will never tell you which team you are interviewing for. Interviews will be scheduled on the fly. And Interviewers themselves will be quite clueless about why they were asked to interview you.

    4) Dis-interest in their own products. As a candidate don't bother researching, coming up with plans to improve existing ola businesses. Don't bother. They are more interested in asking you to design refrigerators for blind people.

    5) Arrogance. One trait that you will notice an abundance off. Right from product team to leadership, everyone in Ola seems to be on an ego trip. It is common for interviewers (esp director and above) to yell at candidates during an interview.

    6) Just NOT a "nice" experience. in-experinced interviewers, arrogant people and no transparency. If you respect yourself....Skip this company.
