A campus recruiter reached out to me to set up a 20-minute screening call. It was very pleasant and she basically just asked clarifying questions about my job experience and told me about the position. She said I would hear back about the position either way but never heard anything. I reached out to her and she was out of the country for work and never got back to me.

I had two phone interviews, was invited to come in for an interview. The interview was with four individuals and a three-person panel. A long day but everyone was cordial. Some interviewers were tougher than others. Overall, I felt welcomed and respected. The recruiter reached out a couple of weeks later to say they weren't interested in hiring me. Then a week later she reached back out and asked if I was still interested and sent me a pretty extensive assignment. I said that I was interested in moving forward but would like to know where I stood in the interview process/ would like a notice saying the company wouldn't use the copy I write for its platforms. Totally ghosted after that. The interview process lasted more than two months for a three-month contract.

A short screening interview with a recruiter from Disney. Lasted about 20min and included questions about my educational background and work experience. Overall a pretty basic interview. Be ready to ask questions in the end.

Standard process of screeners and multiple onsite in person interviews.
6 or 7 weeks into the process and after several onsite interviews - HR went dark. No response to polite requests for updates. Unprofessional.

Sadly, I guess the internal reviews listed here must be right then.

This company is a mess (the national geographic expeditions office). They have no interview structure. They have a poor online presence of their job opportunities. They are representing National Geographic in such a bad way that they are tarnishing the reputation of the company. If you get an interview, my suggestion is to run the other way because the office has no organization. By the end of my communications with the office, I didn't want an offer because I saw how the office was in shambles.

I went through a staffing agent who organized the whole thing. I filled an opening and went through the process quickly. Everyone was friendly and it was a great experience. I got my badge and got to work right away.

There was an initial phone interview with hiring manager for the specific job you are applying for. You will interview with whoever your direct supervisor/ manager will be for the internship.
