I applied to this job about a month ago and within a few hours received an initial phone interview. The call lasted about 15 minutes. The recruiter was very cordial, but he kept asking things about my experience related to the job I simply didn’t have. They must have reviewed my resume to see if I had the necessary qualifications, which it seemed that I didn’t. After the interview he said they’d get back to me a in a couple weeks to which they never did. I understand I didn’t meet the requirements but why give me the interview in the first place?

Relatively quick and easy process. Understanding many interviews are a sort of sales pitch, I was very pleased with everyone’s positive attitude and genuine and transparent demeanor. Direct manager through to the HR/recruiting rep - each had great insights into the role, the company, and its culture.

I was contacted for a phone interview which lasted about 15 minutes. Overall, the HR partner was polite and asked good questions related to the role and my experience. Questions asked for detail around project management experience.

Phone interview with recruiter then an in person interview with team members. I met with multiple people of the team and all was very positive. The team seemed to want to hire me on the spot but that didn’t occur. The recruiter was not responsive after the interview. Usually recruiters will want to speak with you immediately after to see how it went and to communicate next steps. I followed up more than once and the recruiter went silent. I feel being ignored is extremely unprofessional. Send an automated decline if you don’t have the courtesy to decline the person via phone or email. Ignoring a candidate gives a bad impression and I now will not recommend anyone to apply to this company. It seemed as if they were trying to get as many people to interview and prolong the process. The recruiter even told me he falsely stated the title on the ad to bring in more applicants. Next steps were not communicated whatsoever, overall the recruiter didn’t make the experience pleasant. A decline would have been appreciated versus being ignored.

Submitted my resume and applied on the company website. Shortly after I was contacted by the internal recruiter shortly after and connected fairly quickly, but the quickness ends here.
To make a long story short, the process was super drawn out. I felt like I had to do the chasing/follow up with the recruiter. I was told one thing, and then later another.
I was told I was still in the running and they wanted to meet, but after numerous follow-up on my end, I never heard back.
The actual in person interviews I did have were typical and it provided great insight to the role and company. I had a view of the company and managers I did interact with during the interviews I did have. I was very interested in moving forward, but lack of communication or even updates left a bad taste in my mouth.
Word of advice to HR/Recruiting: I understand delays can happen, processes take longer then needed, but as a courtesy please inform candidates with realistic timelines of when they can expect a call back or what the next steps are. As great of a company you guys could be, if you ghost or bread crumb your candidates, you could lose out on potential employees who can't wait around forever.

For the interview process it was standard timing as that you would expect with any large company (several rounds of interviews including speaking with higher level execs.) Within two weeks an internal recruiter reached out which began my process. Everyone was super friendly and had a family oriented culture. My biggest thing with this company or maybe possibly the individuals I met with was how I received further information after my final interview. Everything leading up until my final interview everyone spoke in good terms of me potentially coming on board, however I wasn’t offered the position unfortunately. To me if you know a candidate isn’t where you would like he/she to be then why “hint” that they have an opportunity with the company especially within the final moments of the interview/interaction . Secondly, what really bothered me most about my whole end process was the internal recruiter’s communication with me. I was told if I needed anything or any questions to arise during my final interview to reach out. However, I received complete zero communication from the recruiter and had to reach out myself to figure out my offer stays only to receive communication an entire week later. I’m sure this is a great company to work for and something anyone would be happy to work in, but especially with what NFP stands for I believe better respect for decent communication should be given to candidates regardless of whether they receive an offer or not.
Advice to management: continue the good work in the amazing values and mission that you have. Just strive to make sure that this is also translated into the candidates you select for positions.
