    Gespräch mit Fachvorgesetzten und Direktor, Direktor wollte Zeit sparen hat Einleitung übersprungen und mit den für ihn wichtigen Fragen angefangen. Das Gespräch war daher nach 10 Minuten zu Ende. Fachvorgesetzter kam gar nicht zu Wort. Die Fragen waren teilweise auch sehr unsachlich, die würde man nach dem allgemeinen Gleichheitsgrundsatz in keinem anderen Unternehmen stellen, z. B. Pläne bzgl. Nachwuchs, ob die Familie ein Hindernis für Projekteinsätze ist etc. Unternehmen hat von der Generation Y wohl nichts gehört und noch nicht verstanden, dass man mit den althergebrachten Methoden keine jungen Menschen mehr in ein Unternehmen locken kann. Ist eher eine Unternehmensberatung wie vor 20 Jahren.

    Frist round interview was over the phone with one of their project managers, asking basic project management questions and determining if they want to set up a second in person interview.

    Accepted and scheduled an in person interview, but received no follow up on their end . This was back in march when Covid cases started to ramp up so I understand it was just the lack of communication on their end that left a bitter taste.

    Hiring process was fairly straightforward. The recruiter was prompt with responses and scheduling. She also was happy to answer any questions. First had phone interview with HR recruiter, then 2 in-person interviews with mid to senior management.

    The interview process was very thorough and was a great learning experience. I was kept informed throughout the whole process:
    -First interview onsite with a Business Manager: I was asked to make a ppt presentation describing a project I worked on followed by a Q&A.
    -Case interview: Upon arrival, I was given a business case, had to make a ppt presentation to tackle the case and present it to a panel of consultants. The case was challenging and had a lot of information. The presentation was followed by a discussion about the case and my PM experience.
    -A conversation with another Business Manager to assess culture fit, provide feedback on the overall process.
    -Interview with the Talent Acquisition Manager: We discussed the company, growth prospects, mobility.

    I have to say the entire process was very thorough and professional. After every phase, the recruiter called me to give me feedback and also asked for my feedback. The recruiter sent me meeting invites and also followed up with calls to see if there was any conflict with the schedule. The interview process took two weeks as follows:

    1. Phone screening with the recruiter. This first call was to see my work eligibility and experience validation. The recruiter was very knowledgeable about PM processes and asked details about my past experiences per my resume. The call lasted 45 minutes.
    2. Phone interview with a Senior (Sr) Consultant. The Sr Consultant gave background on the specific role and interviewed my knowledge and experience and asked me how I would handle certain scenarios. This call lasted 30 minutes.
    3. In person interview at the NY office location with the Business Unit Manager. For this interview, I was asked to create and present a 10 minute PowerPoint presentation on my past or current project. The Business Unit Manager explained the work that is done at Pcubed and followed with questions regarding my experience. This meeting lasted one hour. The Business Unit Manager took his time, laid out the agenda at the beginning and was very professional and gave me several opportunities to ask questions.
    4. Phone call with a Business Unit Manager who was making the final assessment. He asked me about my five year plan, why project management and why Pcubed.

    One information phone interview with HR
    One in person interview with HR and person
    One case interview with a director (no quant)

    I will say all in all that the interview process was average. One thing to note is that they do not pay for parking and that they are looking for individuals with a project management. From talking with HR and some of the individuals there, I wanted to say their culture was awesome and regret not doing better on my interview. However, there was a clear lack of communication between myself and HR, or really any of the individuals I spoke with. I heard from HR once after my last interview saying she was finalizing the process with certain individuals and that I had not slipped her mind but did not hear from her again. Three weeks later I sent a sincere email letting the individuals know I was very happy to have spoken to them and completely understood why I was not chosen (and I do - I did not do well on the case). However, I did not receive a single response among the three individuals to acknowledge the email. This was extremely disappointing considering the conversations I had. I understand people are busy, but if you are going to tout a culture of family and inclusiveness this should also include being gracious to individuals that were gracious to you.

    Applied online. Received a call for a phone screening three days later. Then invited to an on site, hour long panel interview a couple days after the phone screening. The HR person was quick to respond to emails and phone calls.
    First red flag was they don't pay or validate for parking so you have to go downtown and pay for everything out of pocket. Second red flag was that only 2 of the 3 people bothered to show up for the panel interview. No apologies or explanation was given for why the third person was absent.
    They spent about 30 minutes asking questions about work experience and situational/behavioral type questions. Once they finished their questioning, they said they had no further questions and asked if I had any questions for them. The first thing I asked was whether they needed clarification on any of my answers or whether there was anything that needed further explanation. They told me no, and that I had answered all the questions that they prepared to ask me. I wrapped up my questioning after 3-4 more questions. We finished in 54 minutes (I checked my phone after I left their office). When the interview was done, I was told that they'd get back to me within a week max.
    The 3rd red flag was when they didn't get back within a week like they said they would. It only took them 3 days between the initial phone screening to set up the in person interview. I waited a week to follow up with a phone call. At first there was no answer but they did call me back the next day. They told me that they would not be going forward. I asked if there was a reason why and was told the following:

    1. You didn't answer all of our questions (even though I asked in the interview if they had any other questions and they specifically said NO)
    2. We were running out of time (even though we completed the interview in under 1 hour)
    3. We had other meetings scheduled after that

    What #2 and #3 have to do with the decision, I don't know but they were just making up excuses not to elaborate on #1. I asked if they could provide some feedback to help me going forward and they said to send them an email and they'd reply. I did that and yet they never provided any feedback. The HR person who was so eager to email you and talk to you suddenly go silent. They just ghost you even though they proudly tell you that they take pride in getting back to people in under 3 days.

    If you like to be deceived, then yes apply to this company. Otherwise just avoid them as they're a waste of time. They reply to reviews with generic "we will take your input in to account......" but even after a year, nothing has changed and their recruiting people/process are still unprofessional!

    The Interview process was in three phases... each timed. The first was a single sheet printout from Microsoft project of a sample project. You were asked several questions from this printout which was not clear and very confusing. The second was the write on the whiteboard how you would Project manage a random project sample and the third was a two on one interview.

    • This experience was more of an interrogation and extremely humiliating. This is a sweatshop and they were looking to poke holes and humiliate as oppose to having an intellegent interview. The Lead interrogator played the good cop and his side kick played the good cop. The Lead had a very forward demeanor as he sat with his elbows on his knees and his hands clasped with a scowl on his face. No matter what I told him ...nothing was good enough.     Total waste of time!!! I had 4 interviews. 30 minutes phone interview with the recruiter, another 45 minutes with a senior manager, then 1 on 1 in-person interview that took 3 HOURS! then another 40 minutes phone interview with another manager. And now I have been waiting for a month, I requested status but I have not heard back. How rude to totally ignore somebody after I have dedicated so much time into the painful interview process. I have a lot of various PM experience but the senior consultant was going by the book, you have to use PMI terminology only. So do not even bother applying if you do not have PMP or PMI.
