Very thorough! Applied online then a couple days later got a phone screening. After had to do a 2hr zoom which included thoughtful questions, scenarios and a mock student session with an actual grad. Lastly, came in LA office for final interview. Every round was thoughtfully planned with great insight and energy!

Received an email to schedule a phone screen. I scheduled it then received an email a few days later to move it up because things were moving faster. I was fine with that. Rescheduled a call and had the most awkward phone interview of my life. The person I spoke to was extremely awkward and then just asked questions like "what are you bad at?" Lots of awkward pauses and silences.

How about you tell me about the role and what you need, and I tell you about how I can meet your needs?

The next step was completing an assessment to complete, which was basically a test of certain situations as emails and then responding to them like I would if in the role. I was invited for another interview. The person who I did not enjoy speaking to on the phone asked if I could meet via zoom the next day. I wasn't able to and then he wanted to meet the following night at 10?! I didn't reply and then he asked if I was still available to interview in the morning. I'm not interested in interviewing at 10pm just because you are in a pinch. The more I thought about it: If they didn't have an interest in really knowing me now, or being flexible with my schedule, what would it be like working there? I decided I didn't want to find out. I think Hack Reactor could be interesting if in the right role- but working for this person did not leave a good feeling.

Apply online, then you schedule phone call using a calendar app online which is emailed to you. Then you get called and are asked basic questions. Then if they liked you they will email you an online questionnaire to fill out with questions about how you would react to certain situations.

Excellent! A very kind interviewer who was not only funny but also had a lot of helpful knowledge for a prospective candidate. Very helpful and overall very enjoyable to interact with. Looking for innovative people with a heart for their mission.

The interview consisted of 3 parts: phone screen, onsite interview, and a take home project. It is a pretty standard process. Whenever I felt like communicating, I sent them emails and received responses within 24hrs.

Thorough process, from phone screen to meeting with the Leadership Team. All interviews were conducted in a professional and relaxed manner. Each meeting was designed to test certain skills or react to various scenarios and role play, so that you have a pretty good idea of what the job will look like at the end of the process. Also there was time to share best practices, expand on ideas and discuss new ideas. Overall it was a very pleasant process, during which I learned a lot about the company.

I applied to 2 separate positions, and made it through the final round of each. Both had 2-3 rounds, spanning multiple days, of questions, student interactions, and 1:1 conversations with the Manager of the department. This included hours of time and preparation.

After the final rounds, I was not followed up with. This was disappointing, but enlightening.

It was a nightmare getting in touch with the recruiter and I found the whole process unprofessional. After several missed connections, I received spotty responses back. The final missed connection resulted in me being stood up for a phone interview and no response from Hack Reactor's part until I was sent an email over a week later that an offer had been extended to another candidate.

Applied online, someone reached out to me for a phone interview. The interviewer asked several role playing questions. Be prepared to have your own questions ready. At the end of the interview, the interviewer let me know the next steps in the interview process would be to talk to a manager, but only got a rejection letter a few days letter.

The company used an outside search firm that auto-responded to my application with a list of questions specific to the role and expected consultative answers, free of charge, in a powerpoint presentation within 3 days' time.
