    HR scheduled a phone interview, then postponed it without giving me a clear reason. Then, the day of our phone interview she was 10 min late and did not even bother apologised. During the interview she seems distracted and no willing to give me more answer about company training and culture. GoCardless is supposed to be a fintech company with a cutting edge culture. Stop being rude with applicants and please if you could provided feedbacks would be much appreciated.

    2. Video conference with CTO's friend
                This person was brought along by the CTO of GoCardless, is the founder of Slackline and struggles a bit with English. Overall, nice to talk to, but after emphasising that leadership skills are the focus for this role and a lot of line management is involved, asked only Solution Architecture questions.

    Brief phone screen involved just talking about myself, what I enjoyed doing, and why I'd be a good fit for the company. This was followed by another interview with their engineers over the phone, and involved a couple of more technical questions. Mainly involved talking about what sort of technologies I have worked with, and how I would like/be able to work.

    I went through 3 interviews, 2 of them were on phone and the other in person. They took forever to schedule the following step, they are very unorganized and confusing in the process.

    • They sent me a small piece of pseudocode of a web crawler and they asked me questions about what could fail, how it could be improve, architecture design of it and some edge cases such as redirect managements, exceptions, duplicate resources, etc.   Frage beantworten
    • They asked me questions about different areas, UI developments (media queries, web performance, CDN usage, etc), basics about Rest APIs (cache control, HTTP2 feature, API authentication ) and basic security questions (SQL injection, code injection, etc)   Frage beantworten
    • they send an easy problem to solve (implement an API that captures the heartbeat of some legacy systems and implement another API that reports those that has not sent a heartbeat for more than N seconds )   Frage beantworten

    Scheduled a phone interview with their HR team through Hired. Never called on the day or followed up after Hired informed them that they had missed it (happens after you click "Interview didn't happen"). Rubbish.

    Received an interview requesting telephone interview, replied to confirm. Another member of the team conducted the telephone interview. The girl doing it, wasn’t very inspiring. When I asked questions about the role, she couldn’t answer them. She was reading off a sheet as she had to keep saying ‘ sorry, just checking my sheet for the next question’ she didn’t really sell me the dream of
    Gocardless.
    The next stage was a written exercise, was fairly simple. Completed this and received feedback asking me to progress. I received the same email from 2 different people; give off the impression that there was a lack of communication/ organisation in the office.
    Confirmed my attendance for the next step which was a 2 hour on the Job practical element. Little bit excessive for such an entry level role. I emailed a question to one of the people who emailed me to ask me to attend. To date, I am yet to receiving any response to the question, very unprofessional!
