    I applied online in October. It took about 2 weeks for them to contact me directly. Recruiter scheduled a phone interview that lasted about an hour consisting of basic behavioral questions. She was very helpful in guiding me through the questions and asked probing questions that made you feel like she was interested in learning more about you.

    Two day later I got an email saying that I was accepted to the Assessment Center, which is their second-round, on-site stage. HR emailed me a technical case study two days before the interview that required you to do some research and compose a presentation for their assessor.

    The accommodations were top notch. Limo service, wine and dined at Brazilian steakhouse, Embassy Suites hotel, meals and snacks throughout the Assessment Center.

    The Assessment Center was a long day (730AM-530PM), but it was the most interesting and engaging interview I have ever been a part of. The process composed of a group exercise discussing health initiatives in a country that a fictitious pharmaceutical company is operating in, a behavioral and technical interview, a role play exercise where you pretend to be a manager, your presentation, then a final group exercise about a product launch/distribution.

    It sounds like a lot, but the day goes by very quickly and the assessors are very helpful in walking you through the process and keeping you calm. The process is supposed to simulate the typical challenges and responsibilities that you would have as an actual employee.

    The best advice that the assessors give you is to be genuine because the process is very good at breaking you down and getting to the core of who you are. Emphasize your motivations, passions, capacity for team working and creative problem solving, and leadership.

    Last but not least stay positive throughout the process. It's an incredibly challenging and stressful process so your attitude is reflected on how your approach each of the exercises.

    Met with a representative at the Engineering Career Fair on campus. After a brief conversation, I was asked if I would like to come back for an interview the following day. I happily obliged and set a time. The interviewer began by asking predetermined technical questions from a sheet. Most regarded biopharm manufacturing, and some were vague enough that I needed to ask for clarification. Unfortunately, the interviewer didn't have a scientific background so I had to make a lot of assumptions about what was being asked and guess at answers.

    I applied online in January. A recruiter contacted me in late February. I had a phone interview in March and was invited for a 1:1 interview two days later. The recruiter did not schedule a phone interview but rather expected me to be available right at that moment. When I told her I was unavailable and would like to reschedule, she proceeded to hang up on me.

    The entire process was a negative experience. The recruiter was unfriendly and extremely rude from our first interaction. She was doodling throughout the entire interview and her responses were extremely condescending and snarky. I previously applied to GSK UK and the entire experience was completely different. I am stunned by the treatment I have received and I will not be applying to GSK Thailand again.

A few days later was told I would progress to the next stage of the interview, at the Assessment Center. (Note, have not had final interview yes. Was just offered 2nd interview)

    It was a long process. I applied to the program in June 2017. The first part was mainly just submitting your information and completing some online tests. A week later, an HR person called to tell me I had passed the tests, which meant someone else would call me to continue the recruiting process. This person just asked me some basic question about my previous experience and to tell me more about the program itself.

    A month later, I've got a call from HR to arrange a phone interview. The questions were behavioral and the recruiter was really helpful. She tried I had understood each question before answer it. She called me a couple of weeks later to tell me GSK had moved on with the process and had chosen other candidates for the Assessment Center.

    After sending my CV and my cover letter, I had to take two online tests: the online assessment and the online job simulation. It was quite a hard one as I never talked to a person face to face over the whole recruitment process and it felt a bit alienating to reply to questions with recorded videos of 3 minutes.

    First : form online + aptitude tests

    That's just to probe your motivation with basic questions. The online tests are not timed which is surprising. I had a value fit test and a numerical test.

    Second: phone interview

    This is done by another company. It was a regular on the phone interview. The questions I had are described below and all of them where on glassdoor already!

    Third: Assessment day

    You spend a whole day there, and you do different exercises throughout the day (in group and alone). It's a very long and stressful day, but honestly I had a lot of fun! Furthemore, the assessors and the other applicants are really nice. You just have to pay attention to litteraly everything you do and say.

      The questions during the assessment day were quite precise, but still in the STAR and competence-based format ("tell about about a time where....). They asked precise examples when you showed leadership, team work, when you had a conflict, how you resolved it, when you had to work with someone you don't like, what makes you happy,....

      During the Assessment day we had 2 fake meetings (so in group): one about CSR and impact in the countries where you operate, and one to resolve a supply chain problem.
      We also had to do a product launch presentation, a role play (the interviewer is one employee who's having problems and you have to discuss it with him) and a regular interview.

      It's a long day but it was a lot of fun! Be carefull to really emphasize on their values as they really love that (and mention them, apparently that does work).   Frage beantworten
