Started with a phone call from the recruiter. The recruiter reviewed the position and requirements with me and asked me why I was interested in the position. I then spoke with the lead executive assistant. I was invited to interview with four members of the internal operations team. After this, I interviewed with the potential executives I would be supporting.

    The recruiter who contacted me was accommodating. I wasn't able to do my initial phone interview but he was willing to reschedule for another time. The interview was a quick conversation going over my resume and your typical questions about my previous jobs such as; what was most challenging, give an example where you solved a major problem, etc.

    Hiring process was fairly standard - initial phone screen with recruiter, another phone screen with hiring manager, and then an in-person interview with hiring manager and additional employees. Reviewed resume and experience. Fairly easy-going and overall enjoyed the interview experience.

    Two phone interviews with Arlington office, phone interview and in person interview with 2 SF office staff. Invested 4+ hours of time interviewing, had to wait a week to hear back after multiple emails inquiring on status. Very vague response on "not good fit." Would have appreciated more feedback with amount of time invested.

    Was a long process for me, some back and forth initially as job descriptions changed. Many phone interviews and a few in person interviews. Everyone was very communicative and professional in their assistance. Felt welcomed and engaged each time I interacted with recruitment staff or potential managers.

    I had a phone interview with a recruiter than the hiring manager. I was then asked to come in for an in person interview where I spoke with four employees individually. Interview went well and everyone was easy to talk to. The recruiter was very helpful during the entire process by answering questions and making sure I had all the information for the interview ahead of time.

    I applied through a staffing firm, who sent Evolent my resume. Once Evolent showed interest, I had a phone interview screen with an administrator, which took about a week to plan. A few days later, they asked for me to come in for an in person interview, but then went radio silent on when they'd be available. Finally, my staffing recruiter told me they'd be available in 3 weeks for an in person interview (?!). The onsite interview was with four people over the course of 4 hours. After the interview was over, I was told I would hear their decision in a week max. Ten days later, I checked in with my staffing firm. What was first a positive response (as in, my recruiter told me she had good news re: the job and to call her back) suddenly turned into "not so good news". Evolent was concerned about my fit for the position. I was asked to write a statement about whether or not I knew what the job really entailed and if I was sure I wanted the position, given the fact that my academic interests were not healthcare-based. I wrote them a statement giving them a 2 year commitment and expressing my excitement to be a part of the team, but I guess it didn't matter. I found out 2 days later that I was not selected for the position because I didn't have a healthcare background.

    I need to give some feedback to HR about how they conduct interviews. First, do not make promises you cannot keep. You did not have to tell me I would hear "for sure" by a particular day. Second, please know that when your interviewers tell me I would be a perfect fit for the company and that they do not mind at all that my background isn't in healthcare (and that they "looking forward to the next steps"), and then you then proceed to tell me that I'm not being offered a position because I'm not a good fit due to my lack of healthcare experience, I am going to be not only completely shocked, but very upset. Respect those who are going through the interview process more than that. I wish I would have been taken at my word when I gave a verbal 2 year commitment and expressed how passionate I was about the mission of Evolent. I was not lying to you.

    The recruiter was friendly but I felt unprepared as it was a multi-step process. I felt like I was blindsided or at least, kept in the dark about the interview process. The phone interview was pretty okay but when it came time to meet the actual hiring manager, I felt very nervous.

    I did a phone screen with the recruiter and then was asked to complete a video interview. After that, I was interviewed on the phone by the hiring manager. I was brought into the office for a 2.5 hr interview, 30 minutes with each person. The interview seemed very scripted and when I went off script or did not answer the question the way that they expected, they looked back at their mandatory interview questions. A week later, I was called by one of the executives that interviewed me and he told that I did not receive the job. This would have been fine but then he proceeded to tell me that I was such a close second and if there were two open positions for the same role, I would have received an offer. He told me what I did 'wrong' in my interview and he then proceeded to tell me that there was an opening for another role in a different department that he wanted me to interview for. He told me that he was going to connect me with that hiring manager so that I could come in and interview for that role. As you could imagine, I was under the impression that I would be having another in-person interview for a different role. I sent him multiple follow-up emails but ultimately I was never given another interview. When I did finally connect with someone, I was told that the in-person interviews had concluded. The whole thing was very unprofessional and off-putting and after that negative experience, I am glad I didn't receive an offer.
