Everbridge approached me because of my qualifications and experience. I didn't apply for a job.

First rounds with the recruiter and hiring manager went well. The third round was multiple team members. The interviews seemed to go well except for some very pointed questions about RIFs.

I was told shortly thereafter that I was no longer under consideration for the position. I asked for feedback, but was given a non-answer. This was embarrassing and humiliating.

To other interviewees: caveat emptor.

To the company: Please pre-vet all candidates you contact with all members of the hiring team BEFORE you contact them. This will help ensure that candidates have some indication of a fair process before they begin.

This will help ensure that very qualified prospects aren't completely humiliated by the process.

Series of interviewers asking about your general interest and background. Very straightforward asking basic questions about the sales process and your related experience. A few hours long and very repetitive, expect you to ask questions so have some ready to go if you're looking to impress.

The toughest part of the process is technical panel interview, luckily all interviewers are friendly, this helps me express myself better, think and do better on coding quiz also, after I solve the coding question, I need to list the test cases for the function I wrote. coding quiz is not about algorithms in textbook, not like daily project either, it is more like IQ test to me, just stay calm, do your best.

There was a phone screening, then a one hour video interview. The interview was difficult, but intentionally so- they were hiring someone to be immediately integrated into their team. If you know your stuff, you'll probably be fine.

A couple of calls, first with recruiting, then with 2 business level hiring managers. Pretty easy calls via Zoom. More, "Getting to know you" calls.
Kept getting told I would get an offer and they wanted me for a few positions and that I was exactly what they were looking for. Then weeks turned into months of indecision and no decision and no answers. I found recruitment to be more of a gatekeeper instead of facilitating next steps.

After applying online, I had a phone interview with HR. The job posting had been on LinkedIn for a while, but was still accepting applications. Turns out that they were not looking to fill the position, but it took 3-4 weeks to hear this back.

All through the recruitment process the communication and updates on the progression with interviews to offer was excellent.

Shortly after a screening interview I met the hiring manager. Quickly after that I met other senior leaders, then progressed to references and offer.

The recruitment process and interviews are a great reflection of the amazing culture of the company, which I think is rare today. HR and the leadership team have done a great job ensuring candidates experience what it is like to work at Everbridge right from the moment you apply.

I am glad I made the choice to join the team here.

There was open and honest communication with the talent recruiter and hiring manager. The interview process was handled very well, considering it was in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic and there were strict work-from-home measures in place at the time. The questions asked were pretty standard and generic for an analyst position.

My overall sense was that the leadership team is over extended and there is a dire need for additional resources to lighten the burden. Sadly, because they were are so busy they are not available for interviews. I met with most of the C suite and they were all engaging and the work was exciting. The interviews were a combination of phone calls, virtual meetings and onsite meeting. However the process went on too long (9 interviews!) and I accepted an offer from another company.
This is a great company, with great people and a great product set. If there is an opportunity here for you then I recommend you explore it.
