It is a great feeling to have this company behind me. They displayed an awful culture. I regret applying for this job and putting myself through their interviewing process. But I can confidently say that I learned a good deal about myself and my ability to remain positive. Stay away from the business development team at Elastic!

Sorry but your interview process is absurd. There is no rhyme or reason to who you scheduled me to speak with. I definitely put the onus on myself. After the third interview, I should have absolutely known no one had a clue. C'est la vie!

    I have been interviewing with Elastic since June. It has been considerable in terms of my time.

    I was contacted by a recruiter after I applied and we went through my background. I was told to do more domain research.

    Hiring Manager
    Next was an interview with the hiring manager. Enjoyed this conversation as he could tell me more of the day to day and what he would be expecting from me.

    From there I had 2 more conversations with people that I would be working closely with. It concerned me that nobody could give me an understanding of exactly how I would be working with them though.

    I feel as though I invested a lot of time and next came an interview one of the VPs of Business Development and Sales. This was not enjoyable. It was a rushed interview and he took no interest in me. I felt dismissed a few minutes into the conversation and there was a negative remark about my GPA as he told me that he personally went to an Ivy league school.

     This has been a disappointing and frustrating interviewing experience.

    Very long and hap-hazard. Very little feedback and zero response a week after the so-called "final interview". Series of Zoom (WebEx) demos with various layers of team and management. There was not much OEM experience within the group so they could have really used my knowledge.

    After being pointed to Elastic as a cool company by one of my friends I did some online checking on Linkedin and Glassdoor and was amazed by the quality and experience of the executive team and responded on an opening they listed on Glassdoor. I was approached by the in-house sales recruiting team quickly and was on the phone a couple days later and the journey begin.

    The selection process is very thorough and professional, I had multiple talks with the hiring manager, spoke with several team mates, the area VP, the SVP Worldwide Sales and as a last call with the CEO, most of these happend by video call and a couple on site.

    This sounds like a very lengthy process but most of the calls happend really quickly like 3 to 4 call a week. What stands-out most in the process is that it truly is a two way process. Off course there is discussion on skills, experience and scenario questions, but an equal part is culture and ambition. Elastic wants you to know who they are, what they are about and what really is important to them and they want to know you and if you fit in the team. The internal recruiting team are top professionals they guide you through the process and continuously check if I was getting the information I needed to make a decision.

    After talking with these guys and receiving good insight in Elastic, I wanted to be part of this team.
