      They reach me via requiter. They sent me coding challange. I have 3 hours to finish. There is three page paper with explanation which is not clear. You need to create sceleton of project write code and write all tests. It's impossible to finish all of it. After i tried to 1 hour to create sceleton of project, i decided not to send any code.

      I was invited to a call with the team lead and a software developer. Nobody showed up and after fifteen minutes from the scheduled time, I had to chase the interviewers after which they joined.
      They interview was very generic about my experience and motivation and included no technical questions.

      I was assigned a task to complete with no indication on what the expectations where. Because I wanted to test how open the company was to new approaches and discussion (during the interview they claimed they discuss a lot pull requests and approaches), and implemented the solution using functional techniques with full test coverage. The company took almost a month to review the task and then declined my application without giving any feedback (which I asked for after the rejection).

      Based on my experience, I see a few red flags in the company. Certainly, their hiring process was slow in my case and very old-fashioned, as compared to the way modern companies hire and treat developers.

      After friendly technical interview over the phone, I got a coding challenge and it was completely horrible.
      Three pages of watery text and three hours to complete the task.
      They usually comment that they expect to see not completed solution but the process. I would say that with this kind of task, three hours are only enough to think about possible solution on paper. No more. But in practice, you will spend all the time trying to guess what the author's idea was behind all this messy information provided in requirements.
      My opinion that the challenge is useless, inappropriate and not able to test any candidate's skill. Any! It only stresses and nothing more.
      I did lots of coding challenges but have never seen such pointless tasks anywhere.
      Absolutely not recommend.

      Sent me a timed coding task with an impossible scope and only 3 hours. Although, the task description does say that the scope is such that it is impossible to complete and they only want to know how far I can go. The task itself is also very advanced and algorithmic and not practical.

      Very quickly got a response asking for a telephone interview after submitted application. Telephone interview lasted for 30 mins. No technical question. Then was asked to take an offline challenge task. The task was asked to be finished in 3 hours. The task is not easy if you are not familar with this kind of test.

      Phone screening was quite easy with entry-level questions regarding the platform. Then I was given a coding task that was quite challenging in terms of available time and required result. But it was doable and I tried to demonstrate my knowledge well. Then they arranged a group interview with guys from iOS and Android teams. I was asked about wide range of technical questions, that required deep knowledge of platforms, tools, technics and best practices. Finally they invited me in the office for on-sight probe day with ordinary test assignment after which I got the offer.

      Their offline codding task was very complicated for me. In 3 hours (!) you have to architect and implement logic with unit and integration test coverage. Formulation of task (on 3 pages) is quite unclear and they don't provide any support in time of task also about that exactly they mean. It was vary stressful experience.

      I was contacted through a recruiter, who arranged an interview with them. I was asked to come to their headquarters in München. I was told It will be a full day interview. With different interviews. I was told to leave after the first interview.
      Strangely I was asked to code on a projector screen and tell them whatever I was thinking. I had never heard of such an interview process nor was I prepared for it.

Once an interview is scheduled, we inform our candidates of our procedure which commences with a coding task and is followed by individual interviews. The coding task serves as a means to assess the applicants way of thinking which is important to us since we work in an agile environment. Sometimes it turns out that a candidate’s way of handling the coding task is already not in line with how we work in our teams at CHECK24, we then interrupt the interview day for lack of compatibility.
