Good experience, easy process, nice people. Came for another role and ended up interviewing for two. Good experience, easy process, nice people. Came for another role and ended up interviewing for two.
- What are your greatest strengths?

Ich habe mich online beworben. Vorstellungsgespräch absolviert bei Brainlab (Miami, FL)
Interviewed with 2 currently employees in the Florida area. No difficult questions at all. Its almost that they dont want to know anything about you or your background (mind you ,I have a Doctorate degree) so I do have a lot of content to talk about my background. After 2 interview, 3rd interviewier ghosted me for 10 ,even after asking for a calendar day time for last meeting. Turns out they decided to hire an internal employee. This shows how disorganized and desperate they are. If you have a position available, offer to the company FIRST, prior to waist candidates time. Not only time researching about the company products, but the overal position. Also, they had absolutely no clue about the position itself. I asked simple questions about how many hours a week and never got a clear answer. I am honestly surprised because I dont think the office in Munich would treat a candidate so shady like they did in South Florida.
- Whats the difference beetwen an optical and Eletromagnetic surgical system.

Ich habe mich online beworben. Der Vorgang dauerte 3 Wochen. Vorstellungsgespräch absolviert bei Brainlab (Deutschland)
First interview was like an introduction with a team leader and an engineer on the phone. Second interview was divided into technical and human resources part, simple coding tasks in C++ (like how do you reverse the letters of a string)
- C++ questions: What is your favorite algorithm in C++ ? Which C++ versions are you familiar with ? Image processing related questions: Can you explain how edge detection works ? How do you obtain homography matrix? HR questions: What is your salary expectation ? What motivates you ?

Total lack of communication. This is a job I was highly qualified for and thought I really wanted. Did a phone interview, was told I would go to 2nd round and given information of who that would be with and an approximate date. Then never heard from them again. Tried to email interviewer 3 times over course of next month to get status update or some kind of information. No response.
- First question was to describe their product.

Ich habe mich online beworben. Vorstellungsgespräch absolviert bei Brainlab (Königreich Belgien)
I applied online, was invited for a 45 minute get to know one another interview with the would-be manager and director of the department. Afterward, invited to a 1hr 30 minutes with someone from HR & 3 other stakeholders. Behavioral and technical questions were asked including a practical problem-solving exercise that lasted about 45 minutes. Overall, a smooth process with quick feedback.
- Why would you like to work at Brainlab?

Ich habe mich online beworben. Vorstellungsgespräch absolviert im Jan 2021 bei Brainlab (Dallas, TX)
I actually interviewed for this position in two different locations (got the second position) and the interview process was slightly different. In both cases, I first interviewed with the Regional Support Manager (who also acts as the hiring manager). Provided they approve of you as a candidate they will then refer you for an interview with at least one additional employee, that being your region's Senior Application Consultant. In one case I was also asked to interview with the region's Area Account Manager. All of the aforementioned interviews occurred over the phone, perhaps due to the Coronavirus pandemic and perhaps not. Provided that you meet their expectations the final step would appear to be a video-call interview (in my case the medium was Microsoft Teams) once again with the Regional Support Manager. If all goes well and depending on how far into the hiring process they've gone, you may have to wait for some time until the relevant hospital signs and returns the paperwork necessary for the confirmation of the position. Once that is complete you will receive an offer letter and other necessary documentation. My advice? Technical knowledge can always be obtained as long as you have the education and background necessary to acquire it in a reasonable amount of time. More importantly, I would argue, are your soft skills. Communication and personability appear to be key factors in this particular position so, if you want to stand out, emphasize these attributes during your interviews.
- Q: How would you handle a situation in which a device is malfunctioning and the solution is not necessarily forthcoming? Q: Describe a time when you were considerably disappointed and how you coped with it. Q: Describe a team setting in which you were challenged and how you handled the situation.

The interview process involved 4-5 ~30 minute phone conversations with a final in person interview with several people (even with Covid happening). The process wasn't difficult - mostly casual conversation with them asking questions about your background and experience. It wasn't difficult at all and a fairly laid back process. However, during my in person interview it was almost as if they didn't want to be there and were kind of cold. My assumption is they already had someone on mind for the role prior to my arrival, because up until this point everyone seemed nice. They also made it very clear that they want someone who will be in this role for a while. After such a long process I did get a phone call telling me that I did not get the job. I prefer this over ghosting. Ultimately I am glad I did not get the job.
- What do you consider your biggest accomplishment so far?

Ich habe mich persönlich beworben. Vorstellungsgespräch absolviert bei Brainlab (Ägypten)
Good and straightforward , around 45 minutes with hiring manage. with normal interview questions and clinical and technical discussion and job profile . overall it is very good and the experience was smooth.
- Can you please explain your area of expertise and steps toward it?

Process took about one month after they reached out. First interview was just to give information about the position. Second interview was more detailed but not difficult. Just do some research on the products beforehand.
- What is the difference between optical and EM navigation? How do you handle high-pressure situations?
