Definitely learned something new every day. For me, working in this position was a shift from my previous career. I got to tackle something new and master it, however, a lot of this was done on my own due to lack of support from other individuals in the office to assist with onboarding.
Lack of onboarding new managers, lack of caring for drivers as people and not commodities (sometimes, not always), long hours with little recognition for effort put in, and low chance for improving/increasing financial compensation.

Learn your employee's strengths, cater to those, and be honest about weaknesses. Two weeks prior to my departure with the organization, I had a mid-year review. I was informed I was doing well, and being considered for a promotion. Not two weeks later was I asked to leave (helps that I planned on it anyway!) because I was informed there were instances of "unprofessionalism". News to me! I feel if that was the case, then why did that not come up in my mid-year review as a point for me to focus on improving?
Management needs to understand that some individuals, including myself, have high integrity and morality. In instances when those individuals do not agree with a situation that involves integrity and morality, you should probably hear them out instead of glazing over because you're looking at profitability and not the human beings who are working for you.
