Customer Fulfilment Center 4, Erith Church Manorway Industrial Estate, Church Manorway, Wegbeschreibung
Ich arbeite in Vollzeit bei Ocado Group (Weniger als ein Jahr)
Fairly good pension, pay is decent for a low level job
They don't care about their staff at all. I've only had 3 days off sick in the whole year that I have worked there and have had to attend a meeting about it and been put on stage one (progression to stage 3 means dismissal).
At Christmas they've made it so you're working five 12 hour shifts in a row with only one rest day before doing two more 12 hour shifts in a row. Completely ridiculous and shows how much they care about their staffs health and well being.
They provide NO chairs to sit on at all. This means on a 12 hour shift you're standing up for atleast 10 and a half hours.
The managers can be very petty over things that don't matter, for example I was given a warning by a manager for going to the toilet without telling someone. I was gone for literally THREE minutes. It feels like you're being treated with unwarranted suspicion by some of the managers.
Working there feels like you're doing community service or in prison for something. Overall not a good place to work. They place a much, much higher value on profits over the wellbeing of their staff.
Rat an das Management
Be more understanding and treat other employees with more empathy.
Ich habe mich online beworben. Der Vorgang dauerte mehr als 3 Monate. Vorstellungsgespräch absolviert im Dezember 2019 bei Ocado Group (Erith, England (Vereinigtes Königreich)).
Phone interview, online ability test and face to face interview at Erith CFC. The interview was quite good - relaxed atmosphere, good discussion, tour of the CFC. However, looking at the whole process it was quite dissapointing - applied early October 2019, no reply for three weeks, sent a few follow-up emails and had a phone (video call) interview mid November 2019. After that again no responce for 3 weeks. Sent a follow-up email and straight away got an invitation to a full interview at the CFC (mid December). Following the interview, had to wait another 3 weeks and send a few follow-up emails to get feedback, but at the end got a generic few-liner that the position has been filled hence cannot progress the application further. Exactly 3 months and 2 days between application and final rejection. I think quite poor timeline for a company looking for so many engineers. Discouraged from applying again to other open positions.
